I'm sorry about the loss of your Charm.

Last Saturday at our farmers' market a customer had a greyhound, which we never see around here, and I had to step over and pet her. What a sweet dog she was! I can imagine how easy it would be to welcome one into your family and how hard it would be to see her go. I'm sorry about your dear Charm.

Cameron, so sorry you lost her but you gave her a wonderful retirement.

Cameron- I'm so sorry for your loss of a beloved friend. I'm sure Charm felt your love all summer and was happy to spend so much time with you, even though she was sick.

We have a dear little boy kitty, who's sixteen and slowly losing his battle with kidney disease. It's so hard, but at least we know we've done everything possible for him and now it's just a matter of making him as comfortable as possible, as long as he's not in pain.

Remember all the good times with Charm in your garden and know that she was lucky to have such good people to take care of her.

So sorry to hear about Charm, Cameron! So many people here seem to be having trouble with their beloved pets, it's breaking my heart. So, so sorry to hear the bad news, but you you were a wonderful family to her and she knew that.

I extend heartfelt sympathies, Cameron. I know it is devastating to see one's pet go into decline.

Perhaps you can make a memorial place in your garden for Charm. I usually plant a tree or a rose bush as memorials to my pets. Sometimes I make a new garden area.

I lost my two pack elders within seven weeks of each other this summer. Raphael had two forms of cancer and Amber had kidney failure.

Oh Lorna - heartbreaking! As Eduarda said, so much loss this Summer. I've been looking at my Grumpy Old Men, glad they are seemingly healthy!!

We just received a card from Charm's vet (who cried with us at the time). We all love our pets so much. They are such wonderful companions.

We've tried to keep ourselves busy yesterday and today. I found myself turn around to talk to her today, and that was difficult. We had to put a table where her bed was so that the space wouldn't look so blatantly empty.

The first thing I do is gather up the food bowls and then put their ID tags in my keepsake drawer. There's quite a collection by now, and I keep all photos of my dogs there too.

oh, no I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet girl. She is such a beauty! Greys are VERY special and she sure looks it! :)
I have two ten year old girls right now--Scarlet-(D V's Stepnoski) and Kizzy (Kismet)
They are so stoic when it comes to pain as I found out a few years ago when we lost our girl Zelda-(FTK Zelda)to osteosarcoma. We had no idea anything was wrong until she started to limp--by then it was too late and she was gone two months later.
Just remember what a great life she had with you and think of all the good times. :)

I am so sorry for your loss. This is one of the most painful/emotional things we go through.

Rainbow Bridge rips your heart out and comforts at the same time.

I did not post here, but last Christmas eve I had to have my Snickers (cocker) put down. She was the last connection with my DH. I like to think they are together.

Everyone is different. Over the years I have learned that the best way to move on is to get another pup. I can't stay sad with a puppy bouncing around. Thus I got Maeve.

I often think I hear Snickers trotting to the bedroom with me.

My wonderful vet of over 30 years died suddenly Aug. 7. They always sent a card. And he also took care of the cremations for me. In additon to being our vet he was a close friend to my DH and me.
