Ripening Time for Kaffir Lime Fruit

Greetings All,

My two-year old Kaffir lime surpised me by blooming last month. It appears that two fruit have set, though they could still fall off, especially since it is still outside on the deck and temps got down to 38F/3C last night. But, assuming they stay on the tree, how long will they take to ripen? I could not find anything specific to Kaffir fruit, so my assumption is that it is about the same as 'regular' lime fruit, i.e. 6 - 9 months. I know they are not really edible, but the zest can be used for cooking. I bought the tree to use the leaves for cooking, so this is kind of a bonus.

Thanks,

narcnh
