Hello all,

Tonight my kumquat (no fruit yet) and my Meyer Lemon trees were doused accidentally with wasp spray. The type spray used to spray onto a wasp nest to instantly kill the wasp and prevent further use of the hive. I will not go into detail on how this happened. Immediately after the accident I hosed down the leaves of both citrus but was reluctant to put much water on them for fear of flushing the toxic chemical further into the potting medium. My Meyer has 6 huge lemons which should be ripe in a few weeks they are about 40% yellow now. Should I pick the lemons and wash them in soapy water?? Should I flush the tree completely of the potting mix and repot in fresh new potting mix?? Should I put some dish liquid into my pump sprayer and spray the plant to remove the greasy residue?? I can not bear to toss the Meyer - I have this tree from a baby and now it has beautiful lemons almost ripe for the first time.

Please, please help :'((
