ID Platycerium with no shield + traveling companion fern

HI,

I went to the farmmers market.

I saw a Platycerium [they called it French Staghorn] that had no shield/sterile fronds. I wonder if it is the Platycerium veitchii. It looked really nice but when they told me it does not produce pups I bought a a reg Platycerium [i assume biforcatum]. I also bought a Bear's Paw fern I assume a Phlebodium aureum that came with another NOID fern in the pot.

Can someone help me ID these?

How come the "French" Platycerium had no shield? Was it because it was potted and moist and needed no sterile fronds
