Growing Staghorn Ferns in Zone 5 (Ohio)

Hello Everyone, I've posted this in the "Fern Forum" but thought I'd check here as well. I've recently acquired a staghorn fern pup, about a 3-4 inch plug, and would like to try to grow it. I realize it will never achieve the size some of yours reach in Florida or California but I do know it is possible to grow them in this area as my father had one several years ago when I was child that he grew quite successfully. He's long since passed away but I would like to try my hand at this wonderful plant. Any suggestions regarding overwintering during harsh Ohio winters? Anyone in zone 5 have any experience with this plant? Thanks in advance for any advice.
