Let me go back in time for a few hours. IN the afternoon I went in the backyard to water and make sure all is ok for the FReeze tonight. Which now by the way is not suppose to get that cold :-(

Then I watered in the front and when I got to the front door. THERE WERE TWO PACKAGES from Brenda!

Ok I admit, I hoped you would be my SS but I just thought maybe you just shared a LOT LOT more cuttings with me lol.

The horrible thing was, I HAD to finish the watering before it got to cold and late. Do you know what that did to me? Torture poor!

THEN hubby came home and was hungry...MORE torture!!!

Now I tried to express with the picture taking on how at awe I was about your generous SS boxes. I do not know where you took the time to put so much love and time into finding all these precious meaningful gifts for me! With your audit going on and sharing your cuttings with so many of us.

You are a angel ....you just do not have wings yet!

Lucy, Wow wee wow wow!!!! You hit the motherload! What a super great goody box. So many thoughtful gifts. Sorry you had to wait to open your boxes but it was worth it. But it had to feel like Christmas unwrapping each gift, lots of fun, bet you felt like a kid on Christmas morning. :)
Have to make a comment about all those bows too, when I first saw the pic I thought that had to have taken a lot of time to lay all those bows so neatly. Glad you told us you used PSP. That is sooo cool. So happy you received such a wonderful and thoughtful secret Santa package.

Brenda, what a wonderful job, you are a great secret Santa especially taking into account how busy you've been. I think it made Lucy's first secret Santa experience a special one.

Lucy, thanks for the pictures and sharing the excitement of opening each special package. This was a really fun post.

What a great secret santa box. I know you are probably squealing with glee, lol. The little plastic things are perfect for storing pollen so you can become a brug mommy. Save your pollen in them and label it and put it in the freezer then when something is blooming you want to make babies from use the pollen on it that way you don't have to have two blooming at the same time to make crosses.

WOW!!! I know that was a hard thing to do. I kept waiting for the Polydamas butterflies to find my calico vine but they didn't touch it this year. It took me a while to finally give in and cut back one of the vines that had latched onto a light pole on the other side of my fence. That one worked it's way up to the top of the pole and it was covering the transformer - figured I better cut it down before it caused a power outage!!! Have yet to cut back my yellow morning glory vine though...that one has covered two 16 foot long fence panels, covered a 10 foot tall pony palm and worked its way up into my neighbor's oak tree :o) That's what he gets for allowing the branches hang over into my yard :o) ~ Cat

Chris, NICE job!!! Can you take a pic of the whole tree? Anirbn, My mom fell and hurt herself badly after she got out from a week in the hospital, so I totally forgot too. My bad. It started getting lighter in coloring..It was loosing it's vivid green look because the temps have gotten so cold. But I stuck it in the house and it seems to be coloring up again/. I will take a pic tomorrow..) I have been trying to grow it Bonsai style since I don't need it to be big and take up room. So it's pretty small..

It's raining today in downtown Atlanta. Just a nice little rain. My cat has been nutty these last 3 weeks. Literally INSANE and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Today she happily went out and played in the garden in the pouring rain. She was so HAPPY! All the creatures seemed to notice we needed some! GGG

Oh. Mah. Gaaaaaaaaaaah. Apparently, I logged in here last night and told a great big ol' lie. You see, right before I sealed up the paint can for good and put it away, I decided to paint a board with Guilford Green and just hold it up in the kitchen in several places to compare it against Warren Acres. You know - just to be sure. Well. You can guess what happened next (and I'm not at all surprised if some of you said, "I knew it!") -- Since Guilford Green is the perfect, vintagey green I'd been seeking, it stands to reason it would be the perfect green in my kitchen. And you may recall, that's where my search for a vintage green really began - when I decided to go for a more cottage/antiquey feel in that room. ::BIG heaving sigh:: So after church today I came home and got busy. I'll finish the kitchen tonight, and will have to send DH to see the folks who have now become our good buddies at the Benjamin Moore store tomorrow, as I'll need another gallon to finish off the breakfast room. I know I said that I wouldn't redo the kitchen because the change would be negligible. Oh, silly me. The change is slight - but profound. The yellow undertone will be replaced with a grayed green with a tiny bit of blue undertone. It definitely looks more vintage, and I'm loving it. Guilford Green is soft and has a sort of creamy, slightly weathered feel to it. But man. Am I tired of painting! This time next week I hope to be able to revisit this thread and say that I'm really, truly, finally done. Because after this, there's nothing left to paint. (Don't mention the bathroom ... it's perfect as is. ;-))

Wow that is a great SS box and you deserved every bit of it! How exciting, they were all wrapped so nice too. I don't think I would have had the patience to take all the pics before unwrapping though. BTW the plastic tubes are for storing pollen in the freezer. Let the pollen dry for a few days before you put it in them then freeze until you want to pollinate something with it.

Lucy~Really GREAT box you got there.I admire you taking time to photo each gift before unwrapping it. I couldn't have done that! Maybe one photo of the whole pile wrapped....No patience here either!!

THANK you for clearing the mistery up. I would have only saved the real RARE seeds in there roflmao. Pollen makes a LOT more sense!
Brenda with your thoughtfullness I am ONE step closer in trying to get to that PURPLE one!

April it was very hard. But it was worth it. I want everybody to see how much efford Brenda put into the SS event.

I hope that one day someone will say it about me too. That it was AWESOME having had you as a secret Santa.

So glad you got your SS package from me. I'm sorry I'm late but my internet service was not working over the weekend, when I got home from the office on Saturday! And you are very, very welcome!! It was a delight to get your SS package together!

I hope you can use everything! You are such a jewel and blessing of the forum, I wanted to let you know how special you are to me, and to all of us!!

Good luck with the amaryllis seedlings- the cross sounds like great possibilities!!

I feel the same about you!
I will baby the amaryllis! they are potted up and have their special place. EVERYTHING is or will be in use! h ah ha even the seed (pollen) tubies !! But even though everything is blooming right now. I need to prepare myself and get smart for starting that part of my love for the Brugs.

The quartz crystal is amazing and I sure have never seen a gigantic rock like that! It will be my meditation rock after I clean it. ...I just have not had time for that ritual yet lol

I AM blessed ! For having found this forum and all you wonderful caring loving gardener buddies.

Again thank you for being the best SS friend.

P.S. did you get your PC working again? I hope so. Man there is some bad luck going around. My son had a accident last night. Someone crossed a 4 lane road right in front of him. His only way of transportation to make a living is totaled. But thank God he is unharmed! I feel like praying all day long because there is so much need for it going on at the moment. And all of you are in my prayers always!
