Your favorite abies balsamea cultivar for shade?

I'm going to try to plant the bed that's north of the house this summer. In addition to the north-side-of-the-house shade problem, there's also dappled shade from a couple of maples and an old oak, depending on the time of day and year.

I was thinking that in addition to abies balsamea, I'd choose a hemlock (inspired by Ken's New Gold pictures, although that's probably not the right one for shade), and a cedrus deodora Karl Fuchs.

As always, I appreciate your insight and advice!
