After Transplant, Loss of Fruit and Yellow Leaves of Meyer Lemon

Hello everyone!

I recently transplanted a Meyer Lemon from a 5 gallon container that it came in, to a 15" container. I used Miracle Grow Citrus Potting Mix ( I know, now that I read here, I should have made my own).

It has been about 3 weeks or so since the transplant. Previous, it was VERY thick with leaves, a very bushy-type tree. Now, it is thinning out its nice thick foliage. Some of the leaves are turning yellow, and then fall off. I also have several young fruit yellowing and falling off.

Is this just stress from the transplant? Or did I hurt it someway?

Would the new MG citrus soil be causing this?

While it is still adjusting, should I trade out some of the soil for something different? I do have a big bar of coconut husks, perilite, and vermiculite that I can use to mix something up right away. I do not know if I can remove all of it, but can atleast try to mix some of the new stuff in.

OR~ Is it normal to lose some leaves and fruit during a transplant and maybe I am just worrying to soon?

Thanks so much for all the help! Christy
