New Growth on my Meyers Lemon Tree Wilting Before Watering
Comments (10)From Silica 3 years ago last modified: 3 years ago The reason that the new leaves on your tree wilt much sooner than the more mature leaves, is due to the fact that tender young leaves have a much higher transpiration rate then do older leaves. Therefore, they lose water to the atmosphere at a higher rate than the tree's older leaves. This is a VERY common occurrence and not much to worry about, unless the root system becomes overly dry....See MoreWhat's wrong with my Meyer Lemon Tree?
Comments (1)Could be salt buildup due to insufficient amount of water added at each watering. Make sure that some water comes out of the drain hole each time you water. To get rid of the salts, add water until water drains out. repeat twice more....See MoreWhy are my Meyer Lemon tree's leaves turning yellow?
Comments (7)It has long ago been proven putting rocks in the bottom of a container is a bad idea. Doing so raises the perched water table higher into the container and the tree's root system As to your soil test results, the nitrogen should be high, the phosphorous should test rather low and the potassium should be high. Below I have posted a link showing citrus with a potassium deficiency. https://www.google.com/search?q=potassium+deficiency+citrus&rlz=1C1OKWM_enUS900US900&oq=potassium+deficiency+in+citrus+leaves&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0.27068j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-B AND https://www.yara.us/crop-nutrition/citrus/nutrient-deficiencies/potassium-deficiency-on-mandarin-citrus/...See MoreIs this cause from insects or disease on my Meyer lemon tree leaves
Comments (5)was wondering what happened to my reply yesterday ... and finally figured out you have two posts going on this https://www.houzz.com/discussions/6212988/is-something-eating-my-meyer-lemon-tree#n=17 if your plant has been entirely in the house... i dont understand how some slug got thru the door.. across various rooms.. and found this plant ... hence i wondered if it was outside for summer.. where a slug could have found it ... and stowed away in the bottom of a pot... i see the other responses in the other post.. and warn to do no further harm for a couple leaves .. i stand by snipping them off... and watching for further damage ... before you start slathering on goos or fully submerging your plant ... and in the case of slugs.. go hunting after the plant is in the dark.. and see if you can find an active big slug.. etc .. if so.. destroy her and be done with it ... just put it in a closet for a few hours or something.. create a night cycle ... your plant looks very good overall.. it might not be time for nuclear warfare ... ken ps: i hope i got the links straight...See MoreDr.Citrus
