How long does it take for pumpkin buds to bloom?
Comments (6)Thanks for all the helpful info! I don't know what kind of pumpkins they are, I simply harvested and dried the seeds from our last Halloween pumpkins, which were bought at a road side stall. I guess as long as the plant is healthy and the buds aren't falling off, then patience it is :) On a side note, we were pleasantly surprised today by our very first two female flower buds on our cucumber plant! They haven't bloomed yet, but they're coming in!...See MoreHow long before a plumie is mature enough to bud?
Comments (2)A few flower in the first year. A few more in the second. Most in the third. If no flowers by the fifth year (not counting seedlings) there is usually something wrong with the health of the soil or the plant. Treat your plant correctly with proper watering, fertilizer, safety from cold, soil, additives, etc. and you will see flowers. I have a Thornton Lemon that has ten big inflos on all ten branches- that is a happy plant. Happy plants like to flower. bill...See MoreHow long from cutting to a mature bush
Comments (4)For me in my zone most of my rooted babies take 1 year to become a grown specimen. You can't tell the 1 year old from the oldies. I know some may be a bit slower but I just haven't noticed. WHen we were designing this garden we planned for only one Red Cascade. At the last minute we decided to put in an arbor and needed two. I rooted the second one. The designer laughed at me when I brought the rooted baby with the 2 gallon 2 year old Red Cascade. WIthin One year you could not tell which was which. This is picture is from year 3 and you sure can't tell. FYI the one on the right is the little rooted stick I planted....See MoreHow long does it take for citrus buds to develop into leaves?

If so, why bring the tree in at all.
