good Morning Brugmansia friends.

This is the last live picture of a Angel blooming this season. There is still some blooming going on, but with more colder nights then safe onces. I decided to REALLY get them ready for winter now. My Back says : no more woman! You might keep the brugs alive, but you're killing me rofl.

I have also noticed that all the in and out, in this case does not go very well for me nor the brugs hahahaha

They are tired. I believe that from what I have seen from Eddie's picture and one other place. That Kong Mansia has a LOT more to give then what I and you get to see. But I do love the WHITE pure color of the blossom. The SIZE. It just did not open all the way anymore.

So you never know how things work out. There is always things to come that keeps you coming back for more.

Be sure to check the days out as they go by. You never know what I come up with ;-)

Hi Chris, I don't have any experience with Poinsettia cuttings, I tried it a few times, and it didn't work for me. Others might have success tips for you. As far as the after Christmas deals, if I had to "guess"? I would say yes...your chances are very good at getting great deals on Christmas plants after Christmas. Especially with the economy being so bad. I would guess some people aren't going to be buying Christmas plants and would opt for something else "more useful" as far as presents/decorating goes. Even when the economy was good, I always get great deals, at least 50% of the day after or sometimes a day before Christmas. I have purchased Points or C. Cactus at half price with a pretty good selection. But then again the market and the area you live in makes a LOT of difference...Just my opinion. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Happy Opposite Day, everyone! It's finally here and all of the packages have been received. I think that makes it a good day (... or do I say a bad day?) The creativity in this swap was outstanding! I hope we get to do this swap again one year. I think some of us may look for some other weird days to celebrate for future swaps. I haven't done a bit of winter sowing this year so I hope my back allows for that soon. Of course, it has been extra cold here lately so I might now want to be out there anyway. Do some of you prepare your winter sowing containers indoors and then move them outside once they are planted? I've done that if I want to plant them on a really cold day. Of course, bringing the soil inside is kind of a mess! Usually I just prepare everything in the garage and then move the containers so they are totally outside. Thanks, everyone, for participating. Sharon, I'm glad you are starting to feel better and your package arrived okay. It won't be long and the February swap will begin. Of course, keep chatting here if you like. Hi everyone! We've had a horrific storm system blow through yesterday. Got cedar boards outside for the garden - watched those fly by literally like matchsticks in the breeze. A few are now in trees. Listened to our new home roof creak in the wind - very unnerving. It was about 100km/hr all over parts of Ontario yesterday. The strongest wind I've felt since leaving Scotland (winter was gale force winds normally Jan-Feb). Been really focused with my usual - plants. Seedlings, seeds and plants. Did I mention my plants? Somehow managed to cook meals, clean the house and do laundry in between. Like most areas this spring - too frigging cold to do the normal plantings of cool weather crops. Haven't been doing too bad in the food department. Trying to remind myself everyday to drink water more, coffee/tea less. Actually picked up some generic orange juice (can't afford $5.00 per carton and up. Barely afford coffee but we've given up so much with soaring food prices there is a limit. Cooking better meals again. And still maintaining my weight in the healthy range - overall pretty happy with the efforts of the last 5 years. I'm the turtle in the race. Every winter focused on smaller goals and then maintenance until next winter. My success so far has been applying a gradual weight loss and making healthier habits lifestyle. And now - The Royal Wedding I woke up at 7am EST and caught the event live just as Will & Kate were returning from the church. My goodness she chose a beautiful gown - very classy. I couldn't help but smile the whole time watching and they kissed twice! So happy. The queen was even caught smiling a lot. Kate sure has a beautiful family. Her sister looked smashing too. They look in love. I wish them a bright future. I'm looking forward to the pitter patter of little feet too. Such a wonderful day. I popped onto the thread with newbie Cathy8091 - I'm hoping to coax her into joining our Merry Band! If you see her thread - please feel free to jump across and welcome her. We all need support and this is such a big family with big hearts! Have a fantastic day everyone. Thanks Lucy. So your blooming season is coming to and end too? Now we'll all have to start talking about starting seeds and how our cuttings are doing. Thank you for those nice couple of weeks of photos. I know we all can't wait until spring to get all of our new(and old) brugs growing and blooming :)

Hey Lucy! Remember a few weeks ago when I was stressing over a test at school?? I FINALLY got my test paper back.....it was an A!!! I was so excited!!!! Just had to let you know!!

Daniella hopefully he will grow a lot and I get to share with those that would love to have this beauty also.

Deb it was so much fun using the brugs to start our days for a while. MOre then I ever imagined my first growing season.

Brenda I do not intend to stop the daily dose of wishes and cheers...the pics are just not from THAT day or not only brugs. But I love starting my day with the first thought of all of you and trying to make you all have something to look forward to checking out on here ...Of course now you and I are doing the bingo and sign in game first hahahahaha

Shawn I know you are going to knock our socks of with all the brugs you aquired lol. EVERYbody got so many new brugs thanks to the generousity of everyone here.
