Well this sounds like fun, but I think that it would be more for those that have brugs that are the type that have bigger names. (newer cultivars etc.)
Anyway, another member has gifted me with several cuttings and I am very happy with them. :-)

I will have Double Peach to trade next year. This sounds like Fun to me. I would be willing to trade for a named double I dont already have. Mine will not be ready until fall of 2008.

I'm offering cuttings of my two year old triple orange 'Herrenhauser Garten'. He'll be three in June & I hope he'll finally bloom once he hits that ripe old age! :)

sibhskylvr, hate to dampen this but how can one tell what it will be like in the fall of 2008?? I love to plan ahead but Mother Nature can throw a lot of curve balls and there is a lot of possible that can happen to list something now that may not come about? Case in point, one could loose power or the plant can rebel if listed? I would be in if my trader is willing to look at my list of plants and sellect cuttings if the plant preforms and there is cuttings or if they want something rooted for spring of 2009? Off to join Dweeb for more coffee!

Good point & understandable! :) Mother Nature can be wild at times! lol! But (there's always a but & lots of if's in life) it would still be fun for the those who would like to participate. Many, many things could happen in our lives between now & the fall of 2008. And if Mother Nature should get involved - the two traders could take this into consideration & come up with a solution between themselves. And this is just for fun! :) Enjoy the coffee!

note to greylady - Yes I am! :) I've shipped to Canada & would do so again without any hesitation! So - call on your Canadian friends! Let's see what can be offered from Canada! I know 'Sam' has some great plants - as we've traded this past summer! And thanks to her - I have two new brugs I may not have gotten. :)

I have several cuttings of Brugs that I BOUGHT off ebay recently that I would be willing to cough up one or two of the cuttings for say Day Dreams, or that triple orange from Germany. I just got back from the doctor so I'm not organized enough yet to find the name of it.LOL I have it written around here on something. Fumbling through sticky notes, subject notebook and this pile of papers.LOL I know I have it somewhere.

Oh and Brenda, I need to get with you about some hostas too. Maybe I could trade you one of those Brugs I bought several times for one of the hostas you bought several of. LOL, I still like it so having a couple of them will be ok. I just hate buying the samething twice and not remembering it. (grin) It's terrible to get old.

I think I did send/trade with Greylady (Lois??). I sent out quite a few, and I'm terrible with names. There is no problem getting them from the US, it is going the other way that you either take a chance, or get the phyto certificate and do it all 'properly'. But thanks to Mike, I will hopefully have some new (to me) ones to trade/share next year. So far they're looking good (knock on wood), so I may have Xena, Dr.Seuss, and Creamsickle or Dreamsickle (have to wait a while before we'll know which one that is!)

But I'm only supposed to offer one, right? How about double orange. I have four of these babies growing on this winter, so bound to have one at least that will be ready for cuttings, possibly this spring!

I'd be willing to trade but I won't know what I have available until the time of the actual trade is here. Like Karma said sh*t happens.

PS: I also think that there should be some minimum requirements concerning the cuttings with regard to size and maturity and I do think that the vast majority of people here try to send quality cuttings.

I spent the evening tonight potting up all my cuttings from various members, and the left overs that I couldn't bear to compost, I got inspired after reading these threads. My kitchen looks like a cyclone hit, it's the only place I can do it. At least the kids were happy, cause it meant pizza and a movie in the living room. No place to cook!!

I would love to do a 2008 brug trade, but Like Karyn says..you never know what you will have till a bit later. I know all of us have bought more than our share just in the last month or so. With lots of luck, we should have a great line up. If the good ones die "we are sh*t out of luck".....LOL Then only "plain Janes" to trade... Edna
