Another cutting and rooting question

I have Jean Pasco planted in the ground.I thought I would leave it.I live in south Ga.Some nights get in the low twenties but I will mulch it well.It has grown about 8ft tall with several limbs.Do I cut it all the way to the ground? Can I cut the limbs in sections as most of the leaves are just at the top of the limbs.I will have lots of cuttings without leaves,is this ok?Will they root that way? What lengths will be best for rooting or does it matter? What lenghts are best for offering up for trade?I've rooted many brugs but usually the cuttings are not very large.Debbie
