Full StoryI need to get two "blue" clematis - one to go with a Niobe, and one with a Warsaw Nike. H.F. Young is out. I have three already - love them, but want to try something else, preferably that will have a longer bloom period.
My thought right now is to get a Mrs. C to go with the Warsaw Nike, and a Ramona to go with the Niobe. Is this a good plan? I don't want something that is prone to wilt. Would prefer a vigorous grower. I have about 16 or so clems, and the only one I'm really unhappy with is Ernest Markham - wilts, grows but doesn't bloom. Definitely don't want something like that.
Oh yeah - and if anyone has any experience with Chalcedony...I'm very tempted by that one. Any comments or photos?
