I don't know if the last two you mentioned are the same, but I DO think the second one is said Iseli's Fastigate. I do not know how this differs from fastigiata.

Actuelly it's full name is Picea pungens f. glauca 'Pendula'

Your Picea pungens 'Fastigiata' is the same as the 'Iseli Fastigiate' which somethimes also is written as 'Iseli Fastigiata'.

This is a flat for always when it's propagated as a cutting.
When grafted a leader will appaer some day...

'Thume'. *Dense* shade. A classic example of a conifer that can be grown in dense shade. Not perfectly healthy or full but it's young. No signs of problems though in what is essentially filtered sun only.

Very nice pics everyone. That 'Filip's Blue Compact' and 'Wendy' have pretty sweet texture and color. There goes that 'Edith' or 'Edit' again...thing is SOO blue!

Hoping to can spur this thread again as there are hundreds of great Picea pungens cultivars and only a few dozen have been shown. Some more today from my gardens.

Picea pungens 'Blue Pearl'. A great little dwarf, almost miniature. Grows very symetrically, about an inch a year.
