Citrus Tree Hedge

Hi there,

Raphael in Australia here. Zone 8 (no snow in winter but heavy frosts).

My question is,

Has anyone used Citrus trees as a hedge?

I have a front yard that needs a large hedge on one side. 9 feet (3 meters) high would be fine. I have read that orchardist do "Hedge" to some degree, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience (or photos) of a garden hedge using citrus.

It doesnt have to be thick and woody, just neat and tidy. The thorns would be a nice addition to stop people coming through too.

I could plant Camelias or something similar, but I just cant plant anything that doesnt produce food.

Zone 8 will cause citrus some problems too I beleive, any thoughts on that?

Thanks heaps,

Raf
