Wanted: Pics of Fishing line trellis
Comments (0)hello everyone! I found a thread on this forum about how to make a fishing line trellis and it was great! I will be doing the same thing soon but I will use the trellis kit from Lee Valley Tools. The only thing is the pics in the original thread were all not showing. Does anyone have pics of their fishing line trellis against a brick wall?? I d like to see how it looks before I do it. I ll be growing morning glories on it! Please post if you have pics! Thanks S...See MoreReview of Lee Valley Seed Starting Kit
Comments (3)I just 'inherited' four of those seed starting trays last summer, so I'm giving them a try this spring too. They have been used many times and look to be in good shape, so I'm thinking they'll last me awhile. I am missing one capillary mat though - I can order a new one, but I'll rig up a temporary one with something else for now. I've seen these kits for sale, and thought about it, but the price was too high for me :-) I'm waaaaay behind on my seed starting though. Half of the stuff I needed was buried under four feet of snow and I hadn't been able to get to it. It'd be weeks before it melts enough to free my trays up, so I had to shovel them out this weekend. Today I plan to get started. I still need to go shovel some more stuff out, but my back is too pooped, and I'm not sure where I'll put the snow - it's already shoulder high in the areas I can toss it, and I'm not short!! I did start my peppers earlier at least, and they're sitting in makeshift pots until I can get my proper ones sorted out. BP...See Moreneed trellis design ideas
Comments (4)I think it might be a good idea to head over to the clematis forum and post the same message. I suspect that your success with this particular trellis might depend heavily on selecting the right clematis, since there is such variability in growth habit. I think I would not choose based on flower preference but rather on which clematis is the most suitable for this trellis. Christine...See MoreYour favorite Lee Valley kitchen gadgets
Comments (21)I started ordering from Lee Valley when I did my kitchen over 6 yrs ago. I have the pull out beside my refrigerator, I also have the stainless measuring cups and spoons. I have the expandable drawer dividers, also the wall thing for hanging my pots and utensils behind my cook top. I have the danish dough whisk and the maslin pan ( mine has the lid..they no longer have the lid..it is the BEST pan you will ever ever cook in ) and the pie weights. I also have that microplane. The only things I got from them that were awful and a waste of money were the pink stretchy things to hold chickens to truss them..they break right away and also don't stay tight and a set of scissors that I got that were the Chinese supposed to be super sharp..ha..they went in the trash. Otherwise everything has been perfect. I may have to put together another order !!...See Moremikentx
