Woo hoo! Seedling buds are so exciting, a chance to get something brand new that no one has seen before. I have a few of that cross growing. Who knows, maybe I sent you the seeds. I have one seedling (not this cross) with buds starting to open, I think it will be my only one to bloom this year.

I think the most exciting thing is when a seedling puts out it's first bud. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

When I first started crossing brugs it seemed that a lot of people ended up with lots of single whites but now everyone gets lots of colors. I even got more doubles from crosses then I did colors. It's not that I did a whole bunch of hybridizing but even people I spoke with were getting lots of single whites too. This was a ways back so maybe it's just that there's so many more colors available here now to cross?

You all know that I always say how much I love a WHITE brug right. So with ALL the seedlings I have growing...wouldn't it be downright wrong if I do not get a ONE?!!! lol

Had one on Gary's seedling cross but it dropped. Was still to hot, I guess.

That does look like a fat bud and there's another next to it. Just think it will be that much closer to opening when you return from your trip.

But the other one has all the room it needs now and is going to be a rolly polly soon lol

You've opened a can of worms! lol! I'm a transplant from Plainwell, Michigan! Worked in Kalamazoo! Most of my family still live there! I've been in Arkansas for about 19 years! Lonny & Kim are from Michigan also! They too transplanted to Arkansas! lol! I've been to Grand Rapids & Lansing MANY times!

ThatÂs so kool I use to live in GR, on division, past 68th street in Kentwood. I use to work in Holland and Ionia as a security supervisor for Menards. But alas most of Michigan is on unemployment me as well.
So now IÂm going back to school I have math and speech to finish and then I will have my General Associates and then I have Child Pych and Intro to Teaching and then IÂll get my Applied Science Associates Degree. Lol But, what I really want to do is finish my pilots license. Last October I had my first instructional flight, at Benz over here in Ionia. It was so super kool, I got to fly to Pewamo, and back to Ionia granted I didnÂt talk on the radio, or land or take off I just got to basically steer. But it was so KOOL! Sorry I got off track lolol
Why did you all move to Arkansas? Is there a place around here that sells burgs?
Rock oak deer I would love to take advantage of every offer, but I donÂt want to seem to greedy. lol IÂve been bitten by the burg bug! Now I have the burg fever. lol and the only thing that will help is learning to grow and care for them so I can maybe some day get to watch them bloom. Lol Now I wanna brug farm heheh

Cassie, if you're worried about seeming greedy, then you probably aren't greedy at all. LOL. Sounds like you're working hard.

Well, I know a bit about western Michigan, too. Used to work in a certain industry and traveled there quite a bit. I'm sure you know the one I mean.

You could always consider a move south. In my mom's neighborhood brugs grow all over the place, even by sidewalks along busy streets. Now that I know how easy they are to root I could just go for a walk and....

I bet, take a walk for me to lol. Are they all different colors? I get so bored with all the plants here at times. So I dabble in my own stuff like I'm trying to get a rose wisteria going and lavender moon flower, no one around here has those kinds of things. There are pretty yards but they all have roses or white moon flowers or lilac bushes mostly hostas. And winter is fun for like a second, but there is no color. I think thatÂs another reason I like brugs so much, and things I bring in, in the winter lol I like my house to look like a jungle, It makes a house a home to me. I just wish it didnÂt take me so long to figure all this out.

I promise I will not interrupt long. I just want to tell Cassie that this one was grown from a seed in Dec. there are also many folks who share their brug seeds :-) But then you never know WHAT exactly you are getting.

Hi Cassie. I don't know about you, but I beleave I could be 150 years old and still be learning. We lived in Mecosta. A little town RIGHT next door to Big rapids. Smack dab in the middle of Michagan. I used to work for WWW till they had all those cutbacks. We moved here to Arkansas for a better place to find work. Plus family. Plus the fact that it doesn't snow much here. Love that.

I am growing a Brug suaveolens Summer sunset, it is a seedling right now. I heard that before, about seeds, you never know what your going to get. I would love an educated guess because mine not very educated lol.
