We have had a couple nights with temps in the low 30s but my tomato plants are still churning out tomatos and my red and yellow bell pepper plants are loaded with large peppers! My MILs red roses have bloomed all spring, summer and fall...lovely red clusters of flowers. My cottage garden is still loaded with beautiful pink, yellow, hot fuschia, orange and cherry red zinnias. Molineaux is still blooming beautiful yellow blooms. Rosemary is so healthy and pungent. Yarrow looks better than it did in the middle of summer and the larkspur is coming back to life...I thought it was dead. And of course regular mint and chocolate mint is about to take over the bed! It is raining today but in the low 50s..fall is on its way..truly. I have already moved my ferns, umbrella palm and tropical water lilies into my neighbors greenhouse. I have one croton plant that I need to dig up and repot and it will go into the greenhouse also. My dianthus have bloomed nonstop since last summer (2005) when I put them out and a volunteer or seed-dropped by birds pink snapdragon has bloomed since late spring. My lantanas (confetti I think) are still blooming and the trailing lavendar lantanas are still blooming. My 15 to 20 year old mums are blooming up a storm having been neglected as every year...white, yellow and bronze...no water to speak of over the summer...no fertilizer either. I don't know how they live on and on, but I am glad they do. Turks cap still emblazoned with red buds and flowers. Beauty berry bushes loaded with berries. My one holly is loaded with red berries and the nandina bushes around my MILs mobil home are loaded with berries too. Her camellias are loaded with buds for future enjoyment. Still lots around here to enjoy!

Trades are getting slimmer. I've been weeding out the plants I don't want over the past few years and haven't got enough of the plants I like to be able to divide much. Hope that changes in a year or two! I only had a couple of things from her want list but would be more than happy to have them just sent to her as a donation.
