Wish List Swap III

IÂve had fun the last two years hosting this swap and have been asked to do it again. So here it goes nothing has changed.

This is a swap with a twist. You have a chance to grant someone their wishes and get some extra goodies besides.

1) Post here and list your top 10 to 15 most wanted seeds and I will email you my address.

2) You must post by 10-31-05.

3) On 10-31-05 (I will send a reminder email) or shortly thereafter look at the posted wish lists and if you have something on the wish lists send it to me.

4) Also include some of your favorite seeds along with the others this will add extra goodies to the trade.

5) You will get back as many packets as you send with the exception of the "bonus"packet.

6) Include a "bonus" seed packet along with your trade. These bonus seed packets will be split between the three people who grant the most wishes.

Rules are as follows:

1) Seeds must be sent in bubble envelope. (you will be getting your own envelope back)

2) Put a note inside with your GW name, email, and name and address.

3) I would appreciate you sending postage equal to what the package cost you to send.

4) Try to send at least 10 seeds per packet.

5) Send your packages by 11-06-05 (if you are mailing it late please email me)

6) I hope to have all the packages by 11-15-05 and will return your seeds by 12-05-05.

  1. If you have something on someone's wish list please don't let them know by posting or emailing keep it a surprise.

Thanks,

Lazyweeder

Shimla, I too like to check folks pages for their wants to see if I can help fulfill some more desires-
I wonder though if folks would get those packets- since you recieve back as many packets as you send in- I suspect some may be re-routed to others who send in more packets. I believe it is worth the effort though, to bring a smile to another~
    I wonder what Lazyweeder thinks.....

Dave, you did such a nice job with this and I had received seeds that were on my "wants" list from some very nice traders! Please count me in...I don't want to miss out on this one! I will post my "wants" list later. Thanks so much for hosting this once again! - Lisa

Hi everyone, What a great swap! We had a total of 1475 packets of seeds exchanged in the swap. A special thanks to the four people who granted the most wishes! JulieMN sguanzon LisaM627 FLsun Thanks for all your comments and emails. It been a little hectic around here as we are adding an addition to our home. Atleast next spring I'll have a spot to put my new seedlings. Oh, in case you were wondering, I did get a number of my wishes too. As someone put it "Woooo WHoo!" Karen Hause, have you seen the flowers of this sedum? If so what color are they? We don't have a fully authoritative answer but have some strong leads regarding its identity. We'll write more about this, but the flower color would provide additional clarification. Incidentally, side-by-side comparison makes us more convinced that your blue sedum is S. hispanicum not 'Blue Spruce'. We'll write more about this, too.

    Hey Dave -

Are you getting a lot of things in for Momof2 WV? There was a posting about her in the seed exchange conversations. I only had a couple of things from her want list but would be more than happy to have them just sent to her as a donation.

If it's okay with you and everyone, you can just trade my seed packets for things that were earmarked for her. I don't need as many packets back as I sent in. I'm sure I sent in enough to cover hers (if not, let me know). I will work on getting her address and send you a mailer and postage to cover her stuff. It might make her feel a little better to get a care package from our group!

How's it going there Mr. Weeder? Or should I call you Lazy Dave?
I didn't want to see this fall off the edge....
Hope all is well- and that you are not burried under piles of seeds!

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick update. I received the last package last week and right now I'm about a quarter of the way done with the sorting. I should have some of the packages in the mail later this week and the rest shortly thereafter. I will post as I mail them.

    Thanks,
    Dave
