Golden lady & NOL?

GL inner skirt is not dropping, at least not yet. These blooms have just opened so they should color up a little. The one marked NOL did start coloring up but the skirt wasn't dropping on this either. Unfortunately tonight's storm knocked off a bunch of buds, including this one. It will be at least a week before the other buds open as long as they don't get knocked off. We're under a tornado watch.

Very beautiful.
I noticed that some of you like to take night-pictures.
That is a great effect. Like jewels that are exhibited on a piece of dark velvet cloth.
I wonder if I would be successful trying that with my little cellphone camera.

They both have a powerful and wonderful fragrance. My Lady Emma is tiny so far. I think Golden Zest is the much larger of the two. I would put GZ in the larger of the two spots.

Brugmansia "Golden Lady"

Hello everyone! I'm hoping someone on this fragrance forum is also a grower of brugmansia and can help. I'm wondering if anyone has any leads on where I could find a Brugmansia "Golden Lady" plant or cutting this late in the season? I would really like to have this cultivar in my garden again. Mine died a few years ago during the winter. The fragrance of this particular variety was absolutely intoxicating and it would bring me so much joy to have it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Hey Karyn I like that NOL. The flower looks so thick. I'm sorry to hear about the wind knocking off your buds. I get terrible gusts from the south all the time that seem like they are gonna knock my whole brug over. I just stare out the window and curse the wind. I hate it almost as much as the cold. There is a house down the road from me that has a 5 foot tall stump that is hollowed out in the center. A huge poke weed grows on top o it every year. This poke weed grows like none of the others I see around the neighborhood though. It grows to about 6 feet tall with an 8 foot spread with the same form as my brug. The home owner never cuts it down. I've always wondered if they put it there intentionally. Thanks for sharing they are beautiful

Karyn what a odd color not only on the MG...the way the bloom from the GL is coloring in is pretty different from what I have seen too lol

then of course I love the zinnia's!

Haase not that we LIKE staying up till it is dark or get up early when it is dark to take brug blossom pictures...it is the fact the the blooms OPEN AT NIGHT lol. So be prepared ha ha ha gosh I would hate for you to MISS IT lol. Because at least here for me in TX, as soon as it gets light and warm...the bloom starts to close and if I am lucky...it opens again. In the fall it is a different story...some of the brug blooms last year stayed open during the day.
