What's wrong? Meyer lemons (pix)

Our dwarf lemon tree is about 15 or so years old. We are noticing lemons that look like this! Most of them are fine, but too many look like they are diseased.

Our little local nurserygal closed her doors with the big box stores taking most of her business, and gosh knows the folks there don't know a Meyer from a Eureka!

The lemons so affected start out with a "spot" as you will notice on the lemon at the left. Then, it develops to what you'll see in the lemon on the right. Sometimes, these lemons fall off before they are totally consumed by this creeping crud. Sometimes, they stay on the tree and get more and more icky looking.

We try to garden organically, but if all else fails, we'll resort to something that will help the garden!

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
