Over here in Los Altos, we've had early girls & celebrities for a couple of 3 weeks. Got Sweet 100s, sungold, sunsugar for salads and snacking. And chadwick cherry is just starting to redden up.
Pulled a big Brandywine that was just starting to color up on Monday. Kinda worried about some critter nabbing it...better safe than sorry. Unless the critter can open the sliding glass doors and grab the Brandywine off the dining room table, I think that one is safe until it is needed to accompany some grilled burgers next week end.
Everything else is still green. It is almost August, isn't it?

Same here as Los Gatos with early girl-picked ripe,brandywines last week. Maybe over a month ago with cherry tomatos-they beat early girl every year.

I'm in Davis, near Sacramento. I have just gotten a handful of cherry tomatoes ripen recently. I did plant late (mid May), but even so the plants have been very slow, thanks to a rather cool June.

I've had Champions and San Francisco Fog for about a month now and they're loaded and ripening fast.

sweet 100 just starting to blush, plenty of green ones , early girl green,we need a few days of sunshine here in foggy sf,i don't have any luck with sf fog variety so i don't plant them, zucs are slow but producing decent size ones -two every other week, so no zuc overload , its been so damp the blossoms don't dry off,

Here in Sunnyvale we've been eating Champion tomatoes for a month already, and have had to give away a couple containers of Sweet 100's to neighbors.

We've been eating Early Girls "bush" since late June...

Celebrity, Sweet One-Hundred's and Roma's have been producing prolifically since early July in the Sacramento area...

We were rather late in our planting this year... Late April...

I think the relatively cool Spring/early Summer was a boon to us...

The Celebrity was the first about 6 weeks ago and then the early girl. I have been picking 3-4 big Celebritys every day. My Brandywines have lots of large green tomatoes but haven't ripened yet. I have a grape that has been producing like crazy, it is so sweet but no good for canning. This is the 1st year that I tried a black cherry tomato and it has the most wonderful flavor. So far I have put up 13 pints of Annie's Salsa, it's got to be the best salsa in the world. I figure that I have to can at least 100 pints to keep it until next year when we have ripe tomatoes again.

Well, we put out heirlooms in late March and finally got our first one about 10 days ago. They are all about 8 ft tall and some have yet to set fruit (over fertilized? with compost?) Those that have fruit are going gangbusters so we have the cherries the green germans the orange,red, purple and yellow by the bucket now. Not many little green ones coming up though so I think it will be a spotty harvest due to the weird weather.

I've had 3 delicious tomatoes about a month ago - Japanese Black and Anana Noir which had 2 that weighed over 1 #. Since then lots of green hanging on the tomatoes with our cool mornings and nights. I am hoping Marvel stripe and sungold do something soon. On the plus side, I have had tons of lemon cucumbers, zucchini peppers, a watermelon and brocelli.

Here in Berkeley, about 5 blocks from the shore, I harvested the first ripe Lucinda (green zebra x silver fir) this week. My Sweet Million Cherry and Early Girl plants have had a few ripe ones for 2 weeks, but just now really producing. The Sungold Cherry, Bush Champion, and Green Grape have lots of fruit, but they're not turning red - or yellow or green or whatEVER the ripe color is ;-)

I thought tomatoes were late this summer, too, but I also picked more later varieties and no cherries this year. In San Bruno, the first tomato we had was in mid-July, it was a Muscebec. Then, to my surprise, the Black Krims kicked in in full force and I have been eating a few of those every day for the last couple weeks. Maulee's Early and Cuostralee started a little after that. I still had nothing ripe from Omar's Lebanese or German Striped.

I had plenty of zucchinis and they started much earlier. Eggplants are almost ready, maybe a week or two more.

This year, we built raised beds and filled it with SFG mix. Also, there wre several heat waves in early spring. So, I thought things were going to kick in early. Now that they started, though, there is no shortage of tomatoes.

I picked my first tomato today, a Black from Tula. Next one ripening is a big Coustralee. But the first ones to come in great numbers will be Early Girls.

american canyon here have everything going gangbusters, cool spring allowed 1st ripe july 20th but making up for it now.but my zuks sucked this yr, at least the green ones. yellow zs been filling the basket daily.
