Ok, forget it...I thought it was a blue jay but DH says it is not.

Good Morning everyone.

A real hot day for us here. So I will start watering soon lol.

Deer was already here. I believe it must have been dinner. Cause I was out there at 4 am to check in the front. Will replant the Fuchsia's that they have not eaten yet amongst some other plants that might still have a root system going.

What are you up to today?

You have a super day too Lucy! I believe that your very handsome bird is a Florida Scrub-Jay.

I need to get out and start watering too. Every time I go into the yard, my next door neighbor comes out and we have a 30-45 minute chat. That really cuts into my gardening time!

Mornin' Lucy and all,
No watering today! Have not had to water for 4 days! Just enough rain.
Have the door open and listening to a nice little shower right now.
YES, I'm bragging! It's suppose to end today. Then it will be hot as H@%L again. LOL
When the rain stops (and it will)I am going to get some more plants in the ground.

Pam Tell your neighbor to grab a rake, shovel, Ect...You may have a gardening buddy or she she may start disaprearing.
But anyway a little company is always good. (I rarely have any) :o(

Lucy I have been looking for seeds on the "Periwinkles".
They have been blooming for some time now. What am I looking for?
I see no signs of seeds. And I really want to grow them again next year.
I had never grown them before. Have some in pots with brugs and other in flower bed.
They sure hold up to the heat and just keep blooming!
Thank you so much for sending them to me.

Also The purple oxalice. Is it Hardy??? I have it growing in a pot but the other day I took some and planted it in the garden.

Oh Well, sorry for all the question. LOL

Hey Lucy, I have dug up my share of rocks too! They surely do come in handy at times. I feel for you getting to enjoy the neighbors sewer. Just got rid of that problem myself. Didn't run on my side mind you however, the smell would knock you down! Glad our lots are very large! They finally had new field lines installed about 2 weeks ago. I got maybe half of my grass mowed yesterday and the storm came. It is suppose to rain again today too. I will try to mow some more after it dries up a little this morning. Maybe I can get a little more down. At least finish where people can see. haha I will just have to walk through the tall wet grass to work on my plants. OT: POTD: some Plumeria seedlilngs I repoted last night

Barbra I do not remember which member talked about the peanut germination method. All I remember is that Karyn used biodegradeble ones, without knowing that they were and they dissolved and all got mixed up :-( All you do is cut a slit in the peanut. Insert the seed so the bottom immerses into the water. Which is warm and in a shallow container. I did change the water but they germinate real fast. After they had germinated I planted them in a container. That is how I grew mine out. I am with Bob. When you grow them from seeds, you get so many interesting growing Plumeria's!! From Pictures for GW friends I love this one. Just because it is totally different from all the other seedlings. hey all, I am just glad I am not the guy that drank the guys drink roflmao I don't know why I only ended up with ONE star hibiscus. I planted so many seeds at the winter sowing. So many had shared the seeds with me and I hope I can pass it on to others. Yupp I just got done watering too a few minutes ago. But while I water, I also do a touch, talk and cleaning up of most plants lol. Brenda good thought...not long and it will be Halloween again. I don't know if I got the bloom wet in the morning when I first sprayed the leaves down. But a few pedals were a little deformed. I still loved it because it was my FIRST :-) Lucy

Like the bird, you always take the nicest pictures!
So how is your garden, hope all is well! The weather
has been so hot it,s almost unbearable at times,some
of my plants are stressed, I have some really nice
looking brugs and then some poor babies look plum
neglected, there just not blooming fast enough,but
I know it's the heat and they will bloom when there
ready! Lol!Well off to the garden, I am looking

Pam thank you for the ID on the bird. You know so much about all these beautiful creatures I see and love!!
Enjoy the talk with your neighbors! It all happens for a reason. I had to lovely walkers stop by today while watering the front. Started talking and then I did some enabling lol. In the end they did me a favor from watering to early. That way I was done around noon and did not have to water again lol

Susan I hope you are doing ok health wise!!!? Glad to be back because this is keeping me feeling all peaceful and at ease on the inside. Here when you go outside during the day it feels like you opened the oven door and stepped right in it. The plants look so sad when it is so hot but amazingly...after watering in the morning....the beauty is just wonderful to look at.

Dorothy I did not forget about the seeds. You just made me LOL with the bumping up ha ha ha

I answered in another post of yours when I saw the pretty periwinkles. Let them grow some more and they will produce SO many seeds...that you could supply your whole state with it lol To the Oxalis...I have them in the ground all year long and year after year they come back. Mulitply real fast and the more shade they have...the darker they stay and bigger they grow.
