what laid this large egg???

I went out to my garden to search the leaves for ova and cats. I was pleasantly surprises to find a single large ova laid upon my Passiflora incarnata leaf. The ova is a golden red color. Along the side there is a deep brown line going around half the egg much like a Zebra swallowtail ova. This is a poor pic but I included the tip of a pen for scale. Any ideas what may have laid this egg? I was thinking a Sphinx moth, but I am not sure.
