Awwww Bambi. It's going to grow up and eat my garden. lol They really are beautiful and I could never personally hurt one but I think about it.

Sorry your baby is still not feeling well. I am going to ask a dumb question now. What are you feeding him? Did you recently purchase new food for him just before he became ill? You know pet food sometimes get contaminated. This happened to my sister's dog and it died from the food. I amd just trying to think of something that may be causing his digestive system not to feel well. If you haven't already, try him on some different food. You may already have, I am just thinking...

I love the deer picture, I had deer coming to my yard all last winter and spring. Mommy and 2 babies, and a stray baby a couple of times a day. Sometimes there would be a herd of about 12 or so. They are staying closer to the lake in the mountains these days. I only see them now and again.

Karyn trust me, I have the same thoughts about Bambi not thanking me one day and eating it all lol. All one can do around here is HOPE they leave you SOMETHING when they get to your plants.

Siam words can not describe the pain you feel when you realize that the fur baby that only been with you for 9 years, might not make it and be with you anymore.

Pam even in these bad times...I DO think about my friends here. I just hate it to unload the sadness on everyone. Day after day. I like to cheer folks up and not make them sad. Oh and YES they have been jumping the lower fence to the porch. Eating lots of goody stuff. I just tell myself that it must have been the starving mom, needing food so she can feed her baby. That thought makes it a little bit more bearable lol

Barb, don't worry. I KNEW who is suppose to eat that castor bean plant rofl. But that would mean they are in the back yard and I rather keep the castor bean plant safely away from them lol

Tammy no changes in food and NO questions are dumb. Especially when one is in so much pain, you might not see the hole picture. Not think of thinks others do. So thanks for caring. I do have another kitty. She is doing good. Besides the fact that SHE had a urinary track infection and that is why I did not catch on that it was Amadeus peeing in places he should not and that HE is sick. I just kept my eyes on HER. Right now I am feeding him Pedialyte mixed with Gerber Turkey baby food into a pasty mix. The only time he drinks water is in the morning when I take him outside.

Susan I am giving Amadeus so much lovin, he hides under the bed now lol I just want him to know that I love him.

So THANK YOU everyone for listening to my heartache. But I hope I also shared with you that I believe that even when thinks hurt like hell, there is a reason why things happen.

Like Maddy ask me on Friday what heart break is. So my best example was to say that my heart would break if Amadeus would die right now. Because he is still so young. One is NEVER ready to say good bye to someone you love. But I also told her that he would be in heaven and a better beautiful day. It was interesting that a 5 year old came up with that question in my time of sadness. It came out of the blue and made me THINK about what IF.

Lucy, I am so sorry to hear your Amadeus is not feeling well. You wish they could talk so they could tell you what to do for them. I have used a product by Vetri-Science called Fast Balance G. I. It is for dogs and cats when they have digestive upsets. I used it on my Aleina when she wouldn't eat while she had cancer and it worked wonders! Another Afghan I suggested use it turned the corner and started eating after using it. The link below will tell you about it and you might call and find out who sells it close to you if you don't want to wait to order it.
Treasure every moment you can with Amadeus. I hope he starts feeling better.

I hope Amadeus is improving. The most important thing is hydration. I know you told me that he'll drink in the morning but he needs more then that. You might want to ask your vet about giving him a subcutaneous bolus of an electrolyte solution at home a couple times a day. It's not difficult to give a cat a bolus injection. It slips in easily under the skin below the scruff, especially when they are dehydrated. If you can't do it maybe the vet will.

When my kitty had hepatitis, the vet prescribed atarax to help with appetite and a supplement like Joyce was talking about. It's been a long time and I can't remember what exactly it was called. It helped and she recovered.

I do understand not wanting to post when you are feeling low, but your friends are here to support you when you need it. ((((hugs))))

My vet prescribed Valium when my cat was sick to increase her appetite. She did beautifully but had to be carefully monitored while on it. Strange how drugs have different effects on different species. It just gives me a headache.

Sorry to hear that your fur baby is still not feeling better. With my sister's cat, who's in renal failure, she doesn't have much appetite either. The baby food you're using is a good trick to get nutrients into them. You can also try saving the juice from a can of tuna and mix a little with the food. That's usually a strong enough aroma to entice the kitties to take a bite or two.

I hope he gets to feeling better soon!

Thanks again for more helpful tips. Amadeus ate TWICE this morning already. ALL BY HIMSELF! One time for hubby when he went to work and when I got up and made his special food, for me. He walks a lot more now and lifts his head. He did not even wanted to come inside lol.

I am really very hopeful that it is not anything fatal he has.

Ryan I noticed a few days ago that Amadeus does drink the juice from the canned food. So I use that also.

Karyn yes those bambi's are SO cute...I love watching them but being to close, to long, you just see the fear get bigger and bigger. Besides. Like Joyce said...I love seeing them on the OTHER SIDE of the fence only :-)
