Danlella. a girl after my own heart a great baker & decorator. it's too bad I can't take about half of it. to eat. I just gain weight just looking at it. is it red velvet. just kidding. Happy Mothers day to you ALL...Daniella, Id love some cake..thank you ! I hope everyone enjoyed their day !

We finally had some sun. We went to a few nurseries, and then came home and worked in the yard. My kids gave me some new garden tools, and two nice stain glass flowers, that are candle holders.

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Love the idea of wearing hats to church, Linda! Sounds as if you've have a very productive weekend. I'm excited to hear about your Simply Sixteen, as I hope to acquire one in the future. Be sure to keep us posted with a review once you get the hang of it! I've spent the last couple weeks finishing up my den remodel with moving in furniture, and rearranging furniture in other rooms. My sewing room is still in the dining room for now. With the oldest home from college, I have more muscle to move big furniture around. We have guests visiting mid-week & staying 3 nights, so my Mother's Day gift is the boys & girl mowing the yard and having the house 'company clean' by tomorrow evening. Much better than burnt toast & runny eggs from when my Littles were little! :) We're off to church, and then to visit my MIL for a bit this afternoon. Enjoy your day, y'all!

Thank you, and a Happy Mother's Day to you too, and to everyone who functions as a mother, no matter who/what they are nurturing. Both my girls stopped today to visit. I had to smile, I know my kids well. Amanda brought a Family Farm gift certificate to go toward a new gate for the barnyard. Ashley brought flowers. One very sensible girl and one more emotional one, and they are both like me in their own ways. Plus they brought the Grandkids, so it's all good! I did not cook, other than a pan of brownies I made last night. Elery cooked a chuck roast, "pulled" it and mixed it with BBQ sauce, to be eaten on buns. It was pretty darned good, too! Annie

Happy Mother's Day to all! I wish I could quote him exactly, but our minister said something along the lines this morning of recognizing the countless ways that women "mother", whether they are sisters, aunts, daughters, wives, friends, or yes, moms. As one who has no biological children, that really spoke to me and made me feel truly included. I hope each of you has felt the love of those that you "mother" today as well.

Oh yummm...that looks amazing.

We had a good day too. I got a new nightgown, new pair of sandels, a wonderful tropical smelling candle, and a Lowes card from my kids. They know me so well!
