A ha! That completely makes sense now. Thanks! I have not seen the bees at work, but now that I know what to look for I am very interested to see them cut these perfect little circles. So, besides messing up my foliage, they aren't harmful to my plant, are they? Do you know how long their mating season lasts (ie when they'll stop eating my leaves)? Thanks again! Much of the over watering problems and too moist soil may very well come from the fact that your plant looks over potted, meaning that it is planted into a container that appears to be too large for the plant. Perhaps you could try re-potting into a much smaller container, making sure that your potting soil is a very coarse mix, and see what happens. Mind you, water thoroughly on watering day, but then let the soil dry out until the next time.

You have a fairly classic layout. Some might suggest swapping the fridge and hutch, but I think it's fine. A few points: 1. What's in the hutch/appliance garage? You need a place for your toaster and coffee maker, and I hope that's it, away from the prep area. Otherwise they're going to end up in the corner, the worst possible place for them. 2. Or is that the MW in there? If it is I'd think about an under counter or drawer MW in the island near the fridge instead. 3. Are you paneling the side of your fridge? I would, if it's facing the great room or dining room. A full view of a tilted-back fridge isn't so nice. 4. Do you have any other place for a water source? I know L-shaped kitchens with islands are supposed to be super efficient. However, I find guests have a tendency to nestle in the only corner, delusionally believing they are "out of the way." And people also run for water right behind the cook at the stove. Easiest fix is water in the fridge, but a bar or prep-type sink could also be useful.

It’s funny because I was just checking out my plants and it dawned on me that I had a similar issue with my monstera adansonii! It came to me in the mail with a yellow leaf, and the yellow spread to a few others. I messaged the seller and they said it was probably shock and would send me a new one if it didn’t improve. Everyone in some group I can’t remember said it was over watered, but I hadn’t even given it any yet because it came in moist soil. Fast forward to a few weeks after I clipped off all the yellow leaves and the thing looked so straggly and awkward, it finally put off THREE new leaves and has been shooting them out ever since. This was back in sep. he’s doing so well now, and come to think of it, is in the same soil as this cebu blue pothos, if I’m remembering correctly. I think general care tips are great but it really depends on people’s environments. My home is so so dry so overwatering is not something that happens often, except if I leave something outside in the rain and forget about it (RIP to one of my cacti) lol. But I appreciate all the advice- for now I’m going to go with shock/transit damage and cut off all the leaves that are yellow like I did with my monstera. I’ll definitely update if it doesn’t make it though hah. Thanks again!
