You didn't say exactly what it was that you didn't like about the bread, and that would affect what you could use it for or whether you should just throw it out. You could possibly use it for French Toast and adjust the batter to compensate for the off flavor. If the bread is too sour, add more sugar to the batter or just serve more syrup with them. Here's my recipe: Lars' French Toast Ingredients: 2 large eggs 2/3 cup water 1 tsp Vodka 2 Tbsp oat flour 2 Tbsp unbleached wheat flour 1/8 tsp salt 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 4 pieces sliced bread* butter, for frying Maple syrup Directions: Beat eggs in a small bowl, add water and Vodka and stir to combine. Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl, and add wet ingredients. Pour all but about 2 tbsp of this mixture into a low (square, if possible) bowl for dipping the bread. Have cast iron skillet on a burner at medium heat. Dip one slice of bread into batter and allow it to absorb as much of the mixture as possible. Add 1 tsp butter (more or less) to the skillet, and then slide the bread onto the skillet using a pancake turner. Cook for 2 minutes on each side, and remove to a 220 degree oven to keep warm. Repeat the process until all four pieces have been cooked. For the last piece of bread, it will be easier to pour the remaining batter on top of the bread, to let it absorb. This is in case the bread is falling apart and does not want to stay in shape. Serve with real maple syrup. Serves two. *It is best to use bread that is slightly sweet (or Challah) and that has some spice, such as cinnamon, already added to it. If using plain bread, you may want to add a bit of cinnamon and sugar to the batter. Lars

Thanks, that helps. I love that you are the impetus for Aqua. My painter friend loved it, BTW. I got the idea that it was a version of Gustavian Grey from Ellen's own description on her website... (shoutout ahead) "Aqua (for walls and ceiling) is a darker version of Gustavian Grey, yet lighter than Oasis, which crosses that fine line between blue and green. Therefore, it is both healing and soothing, yet rejuvenatingÂa popular new color for 2007 according to color consultant Lori Sawaya!" She says the same thing about Oasis. Someone else here, and I'm sorry I can't remember who now, says that Oasis reads very neutral in her bathroom (and it's her only EK room she feels "meh" about.) That statement surprised me because the chip looked very green to me -- but when I painted my board I can see exactly what she means. I would bet she has a north-lit bathroom! But then again if you put it or Aqua next to blue (say, the Azure) it reads much more green. Aqua looks amazing up next to my print of Georgia O'Keffe "Poppy" because of the aqua she uses in the background. I may have to do the mud room aqua and hang that print there. Interestingly the GG looks fantastic in the bathroom, especially with the Cameo, and doesn't dull down in the room like the Oasis and Aqua do. So my short list for bath and bedroom at this point are: -Cameo & GG -some type of Eggplant/Aubergine (plus something else?) -Browns... Cognac and Bronze? I love Mushroom and Sand too. Or go even deeper - Citron Lick the Bowl? Maybe cool blue bedding and Azure ceiling, maybe this is how I can do my blue and brown. I don't see browns in "Rose" and wonder how they come into play.

My preference is DARK. DH's is Butterfingers! I know that because when we were in Belgium I was excited about these small chocolate outlets are a popular draw for tourists. In Belgium much like wineries, tours of Belgian chocolate shops include tastings and exclusive souvenirs. Anyway, I was overwhelmed trying to make decisions and assumed by the puzzled look on his face that DH was too. I finally made some selections, he didn't. He finally said "they don't have Butterfingers". I was emnbarrased and told him to keep his voice down--crazy American!

I make bon bons every year and we have always melted chocolate chips in a double broiler with a small amount of wax. I've never used melting chocolate, not even sure what exactly that is, I'm assuming it is like candy melts?
