Thats very odd. Its usually the other way around where cold weather will blush a brom and these parts of the world keep them from blushing due to the intense heat.

There,s a lot of people growing magnificent plants in the tropics with very good colour so we would have to disagree with you, most plants in New Zealand have been imported from a hotter climate and the original example always seems to be the best. Here in New Zealand growers use plastic houses facing the sun with temps inside of 35 degrees + in summer. Our varigated Neo;s won't colour unless there in stress under high heat and light.I would say that we did find that in Kuching (similar climate to Singapore)the few broms we found there were grown in shade and were green, but coloured up when placed in high light under shade cloth or a palm tree. Spured on by our success we have taken a further 20 broms to Kuching and will hopefully see the results when we return May 08 . There's also the possibility that the plants are over fertilized as that wipes out the colour very quickly, especially too much nitrogen. We have found cutting up ripe bananas and mixing them into the potting mix improves the colour as bananas are full of Potassium. There's always lots of theories it may just be the varieties you have but we would love to have your conditions here in NZ, we are still at 12 degrees with the odd period of sun between the clouds, roll on summer we say !!.

The climate over here in the Neherlands is worse, but I get nice colors and good form (at least I think so).

Ik keep everyting in small pots fertilized with a tiny bit of slow release osmocote once a year. Outdoors only in summer. Not much heat but all the sunlight they can get.
Did you try osmocote? In lower temperatures it should do fine. I tried banana peels once, and osmocote was better.
I think heat is not that important. This summer was very wet and we only had a one week above 30C degrees.

That Concentrica is in full soil, in your conditions it should thrive in a pot with the right soil mixture to my opinion. Remember most are epiphytes, they have no soil.

Actually, what I meant was that they are all part of the same thing. Different locations will have different climates, seasonal changes, daily temp fluctuations, light intensities, rainfall, humidity, etc........... in short: growing conditions. It's all going to affect how your plant looks, and these photos are a perfect illustration of that.
