Marlorena, I do have Marechal Niel over an arbour with a seat under it. I also have Teasing Georgia over a very short pergola. I love them all and they are all scented, but Sombreuil's perfume is my favourite. The Erigeron karvinskianus flowers all spring, summer, autumn and some of the winter here. It self seeds, but is easy to pull out where it is not wanted. I used to admire it decorating the steps at Great Dixter. Cori Ann, Your Sombreuil is gorgeous. Yes, I have one each side of the arbour. They have been there now since 2011. They were in pots waiting for the arbour to be finished before that. I also have some small, flowered Mandevillas not yet in flower growing through them. Ingrid, Sombreuil doesn't flower much in winter here thank goodness. It gives me a chance to prune it and tie in the new growth. totoro, you will enjoy sitting on your sofa with the perfume of Sombreuil above and around you, when it flowers. Daisy
