Good morning.

Anybody new here that would like to take this moment to say Hello to the group?

While the rest is guessing what plant this is?

Kristy shared this one with me and I know she will brighten my sunday up with a name. If no one else does by the time Kristy gets a big HELLOOOOOOO too.

Good morning Lucy! I sure would like to know the name of that plant because I have one that is, or looks, the same. Mine has two stalks with flowers!

I have that one too! My neighbor said him mom brought it back from Hawaii and called it an Air Plant. Mine hasn't flowered yet.

Eloise, he was a very positive man. No matter what the child's skill, social level, or how much trouble they had been in at school he welcomed them and always found something for them to do and made each one of them feel special from the kid that painted the stage floor to the lead actors. He was very well respected in the theatre community as well as the schools (he had taught at several schools in his 22 years of teaching). Right now the kids are working on "Harvey" remember the old movie with Jimmy Stewart and the 6 foot invisible bunny? My daughter is playing Veta Louise Simmons, the crazy guys sister. She is so excited this is her biggest role to date. She will be going to college next year and wants to major in theatre or communications/ journalism. She has won several competitions in the category of TV news casting and thinks that may be a possible career choice for her. This is an exciting time for her, the world is at her feet!!! Although I am glad that I think she has scratched being an ariel acrobat off of her list of possible careers. She had even researched possible jobs (other than the circus) and that was really scary that she had done that much research into it. I think the next 4 years are going to be exciting. Mary

Could you tell I was tired last night? I just looked at MY message and asked myself : what is borning ??? Not until I read the rest and gave it some thought I realized I wanted to write BURNING up roflmao Deb so sorry you could not get out. It really charges you up to get some sun and a sunburn. While I was doing a few things before I could go in the shower I had thought that the new cream really tightened my skin in the face. WEll, DH took those illusions away when he said : wow you really got a sunburn roflmao. I really did not wanted to look in the mirror after that remark lol So you all got to wait a little longer to get a new updated photo of myself lol Lucy Susan YES we can !!!lol.

Ok I got to correct the name of this one after Dorothy just said she only has common ones. I went in my gardnebook and dug up the picture I saved from this one. It has a NAME lol. That is ME rofl. but the picture sure does not look like the flower I got! It looks just like a single red one and not filled like this one. The Name on the Box is White Christmas :-) I try. I LOVE all the pictures! Maybee-I showed yours to DS and he said WOW,COOL! It is beautiful! Kath-I would say a soft gray.I think white would be too stark and black would make the furniture disappear. Love the birds,love the wind chimes and love,love,love the peacocks.Kim,I have a pair of flamingos that are about the same scale as your peacocks.They were my mother's and she had them for as long as I can remember,which makes them VERY old!LOL I'll bet they were made in about the same era as yours.I love them.i know they were probably cheap dime store stuff but they are a treasure to me.I really like that mirror behind the peacocks too.

I think mine came from Susan.
Been out planting all morning. Need to do a lot more.
Maybe it will rain tonight and water everything. :)

Siam I like that name. I wonder what it is used for if it has such a name.

Sun is finally coming out. Took the seedlings out of the shed but they do not look to happy because I waited to long...after it rained...to put them in there and they did not dry out at all in there :-(

Oh well...season just starting

Photobucket has made some changes to their program. I had my pictures going the right direction, but this is how they came up once I loaded them on here -- rats! Have to figure why that happened.

Anyway, I found the name to this plant, Kalanchoe pinnata! After googling, I find that the bloom in mine still needs to open up! Here's a pix of one of the flower stalks of my kalanchoe pinnata:

yes thats it eloise. i have one also untill this morning i thought it was called a love plant. I love it it grows like a bad weed. mine never flowered though something new to hope for.

It was given to me as Hawaiian air plant or Cathedral bells. Mine bloomed in the garage well away from the light overwinter and my blooms were pale green globe looking things. They might have had some color if they had not bloomed where it was so dark, lol. It grows very easily. I took cuttings and left the mother one outside to see if it will come back. Yes John made me go fishing to get my mind off of things but they weren't biting very well so didn't catch much but the sniffles, lol. I have to work at the shop by myself tomorrow since he has to go out of town. Stop by and visit if you aren't doing anything.

It is amazing how many of you have this plant. Thanks for the names and thank you Kristy for hearing my help scream once more.

The MOTHER I had in the house all winter and took out, took a turn for the BAD. I really could use a GH!
