I can still wish everyone a good Saturday morning

Mary must have a great day no matter WHAT, since DD added wonderful memories to a proud mom

Jocye is back...yeahhhhhhh Spring is on the way.

Bab is a busy bee sending out packages soon for the RR AND makes other members happy with other things to send out. Along with Edna from what I read..and remember lol. Please remember that I am just forgetful and do not leave out anybody on purpose...HUGS

Our gardens will grow and grow.

All the new members adding new life to the forum.

But I do miss Mary Jane a lot and Theresa you too my friends.

Ok I moved a few pictures into a new album and you can click on the link below and see them. I will add the rest of the pictures tonight. But now I got to go and start painting.

Out of all days, I do not need it to rain today :-(

Carrie, In my fledgling garden, "everyone" wouldn't be a Freudian slip. My mom says "Dogs are people too". Well, when you raise a garden from seed, I think it's inevitable we will see the plants as a little village of children and friends. So in my book, when you tend to your garden, you are free to refer to every one of your black-eyed Susans, Johnny Jump Ups, and Angelicas as "everyone". I'm IN LOVE with your BES and gaillardias. Brilliant colors.

Yes Bob it's an excellent heat loving brug. It grows super fast during the summer months and blooms oct thru july in 5-6 week intervals but you almost always will have one or two blooms somewhere on the plant. Lucy I got mine from Shirley Moor the seedling parent as a trial brug about 3 years ago. She is a very large standard (about 8' tall) in a 20 gallon pot. This time of year the blossoms are lighter than pictured above. It's the warmer weather that brings out the deep rich colors. Mine is flushing right now and the blooms appear a bit tired from the sun. Here's a pic I just ran out an took. Excuse my tied up blossoms. Those flowers have been pollinated and I don't want the bees contaminating my crosses.

Ewww, rats - I'm sure you'll win the war, but YICK to have them in the first place. I love the 'Silk Road' lilies. I really want to plant a bunch of oriental and asiatic lilies this fall. I had some gorgeous ember-red-orange asiatic ones called 'Avignon' at the old garden, but that variety is hard to come by now - I might have to try another similar one instead. I also had a lovely oriental called 'Bergamo,' that I think I can still find. And the "tiger" lily 'Sweet Surrender' is one of my favorites. The bulb catalogs are starting to roll in - I'll have my wish list made soon! Laurel

How pretty Lucy!! I have a saucer magnolia and the late snow killed all the buds :( but my forsythia is blooming so I am starting to have some color in my yard! And your right this will be a wonderful day!! By the way the actress is still sleeping!!! So a quiet day so far!!!

Mary that is probably a tree I would bring back from Florida lol I think Magnolia blossoms are so gorgeous. But the yellow blooming forsythia does indeed bring nice color in early spring. I only have to small twiggs from arbor day foundation. So how long did our sweet actress sleep? She must have had great dreams from her play!

Eloise thanks. It worked. No rain and painted all morning. Almost done with the front now. I will give it a rest on sunday. I did however plant some of the seedlings and worked all afternoon in the yard.

Funny you should ask, Lucy, I took her food in at 11:00 and she emerged at 1:00!!!! I know she is tired tho so I don't mind! Next week she gets to play catch up on her chores.....mine too because her drama teacher gave me 3 costumes to sew while I was at the play tonight!!!

Mary I do remember the times were I could sleep that long ha ha ha Man they sure know how to keep you busy AFTER work too. But we love out kids. Don't we! Do anything for them. Even if it means going with even less rest and sleep ;-)

That's a nice sunrise. Hope everyone has a great day! Supposed to be 80 here today and I'm going to be outside most of the day! Too bad dh has to work or we'd be fishing off the coast!
