May God give you the strength to focus on your studies and still let you grieve your grandma. It does not matter if you know that one is going to be relieved of their pains forever and be in a better place for them. I believe that when you love someone so much and they are such a big part in your life, the pain you feel when they die must feel like part of you died too.

I believe that your grandma will ALWAYS be with you!In your heart. In the foundest memories. In time you will smile when you look at your flowers and think about how much happiness you and your grandma shared through them with each other.

You were fortunate to get to share your gardening love with her. My children did not get to spend much time with the grandparents. I was in the army and we were always stationed somewhere else.
She will live on in your memories, and that GH in the sky where winter never comes, and the flowers always are in bloom.

I'm so sorry to hear that :( I lost my grandmother when I was 12. she was my favorite person in the world, and it launched me into a depression for five years. that was a bad time, and I understand well the pain of losing a deeply loved one.

I'm pretty sure my love of plants is from her influence, too :) I never thought of that until two people here mentioned it... wow.

your grandmother looked strikingly dignified, like she had some amazing stories to tell. she reminds me a little of my boyfriend's grandmother, so much character... I love that. beautiful flower arrangement, by the way.

I'm sure she wouldn't want you feeling bad, and I think you should go out there and garden extra hard for the both of you :)

I can relate to your loss as my grandmother was truly one of my dearest friends and probably the greatest person I've ever met.

Even though it's been more than ten years since her passing, I still feel she is with me. I still talk to her, and she sends me signals all the time that she's watching out for me.

While you may mourn the physical loss of someone so special, as long as she's in your heart you'll never be without her.

Kylie, her name was Sonmatie Ramkissoon. Strange name yes, its Indian. Her grandparents were actually from India.

I think i got my love of gardening from her, she always loved that. I will miss her.

Siam, so sorry of the passing of your grandma. You were fortunate to have known and loved her. Just hold on to all the love she shared with you. I never knew my mom's mother, and my dad's mother wasn't such a nice person. Be well and know your grandma is in good hands :-)
