Strollin thru eBay...and countrygrd (the seller) has a line up to die for..go look if you dare. Not you Dweeb, go tend your mite bites LOL Just do a search for seller countrygdn.............don't hate me

Someone told me about Country Garden I was hoping it would be close to my sisters house when I go visit in the spring but it is about 400 miles out of my way :(

From some of the info asked for and answered on the registration form, you can see how more than just the flower goes into identifying a named cultivar, so does the manner in which it grows, the leave shape, size and texture, the resistance to diseases and pests. These days with so many 'look-a-like' Brugmansia, you need to have total descriptions of the total plant to be able to tell them apart. Once you read the descriptions of a Brugmansia that have been registered for it, you should never have any doubt whether or not the Brug you have is the actual one whose name you have for it. I just pulled a pecan tree out of one of the potted brugs today, lol. If I had realized what it was I'd have been more careful. We could start a pecan farm, lol. The golden rain tree is cool. I got too baby hollies I dug out of the flower bed today. If the bad parts in the middle aren't hollow feeling I would leave them alone. If they are I would cut off the healthy ends and try to root them. I have some that got stem damage and some is healthy just brown and gnarly looking. I was so upset today I finally trimmed the hedges I got to take my frustration out on something, lol. I found a bunch of my moonvines are sprouting so if you want some stop by and I can fish you some out. I already seperated about 6 of them out and planted them all over and still have quite a few in the pot germinating. I had just buried them all in the same pot one was growing in last winter and left them there not thinking they would all make it, lol. Things are not working out for my get together with my sister and the boys grandmother is dying of cancer so I think I am going to have to cancel my plans. I got some vines planted on the arches today and fertilized everything so at least I got something done. I have a bloom on my old faithful noid but it had mealy bugs on it so it will probably be deformed. That is the one that had all those dried shriveled little branches so you might want to check for them on yours. Its little cottony looking bugs that look sort of like flat rolly pollies.

Lol, poor Daniella. Ask him if he will do my laundry too. I throw it all in together and everything looks like crap, lol. I was telling John about this and he said ohhh good idea about the pots and the roots now that winter is coming he is wanting to bring in more of them so he is liking the idea of burying the pots in the ground then lifting the pots for the winter. He forgets before we did all these flower beds and I told him about this he told me I was crazy and why would I want to dig a hole and buy a pot. Just put the dang things in the ground and leave them there he said, lol. How soon he forgets now that he is getting excited that they are going to start blooming, lol. I bet we have sunken pots next year, lol. The one I had last year bloomed in the garage nearly all winter long. I think he is remembering that and realizing all those in the ground are going to have to be cut down and he will miss them blooming. Who wants to make a bet he digs up some of his to bring in the house instead of cutting them, lol.

I forgot that I had posted this here! (I've been posting about this in Home Decorating.) I did my most recent roman shade with double turned side/bottom hems instead of the pillowcase method, and bought a 15" square. Wow, it makes ALL the difference!! I used the blind stitch hem on my machine, and it worked perfectly. I also got the advice to use the walking foot to avoid the waving fabric for the bottom hem, where I just used a straight stitch. Also worked perfectly. I love how it came out! I haven't hung it yet. Odd thing, though. The pattern itself wasn't completely aligned. I used the method of pulling on a thread to try to square the fabric, but the print was not even -- it was off by an inch from one end to the other. So I used a mix of measuring plus eyeballing to coerce the fabric into squareness. Worked great! I'm having far too much fun making these shades. I already bought the fabric for my boys' rooms (five windows total there).

Oh, jeeze I gave up and looked. I bid on an ember glow and 2 desert rose seedlings. I've never grown them before. I got paid, can you tell, lol.

Nope, google it on google maps and it will tell you. My hubby saw plants come in the mail yesterday and just sighed. Then he got excited when he saw the rosary vine planted in the coconut and said to tell whoever sent it thank you for thinking of him. I'll need to post that thank you on ebay, lol. He doesn't know I bought it. On my way to a fishing tournament so I'll talk to you all tonight.

f4f, I have had the same String-of-Hearts vine for over 30 years. I just love that little plant. I have mine in a hanging basket in my kitchen window (south). Real easy to start as they'll root at every joint. I could have shared.

If I can grow all these out I will have plenty to mooch from, lol. The string of hearts vine or rosary vine is planted in a coconut that hangs. The whole thing was wrapped in newspaper and looks like it got crushed against the coconut on the trip here. I hope it makes it. What kind of care do you give yours? I got a purple crinum bulb with it and its pretty small but looks like it is healthy.

Kristy, I think the desert roses are beautiful. I have been eyeing them along with so many other things, but I think my family would have a fit if I brought another plant in the house right now!!!

f4f, Mine is in a south window in a small hanging planter. About once a year or less or when it starts looking like the dirt has lost it's nice texture, I chop off all the tangles & root or toss them & replant the tubers. Just wrap the long strings back over the top when they get too long. They bloom these strange little tube shaped flowers & I even had a seed pod once. Haven't planted it yet. I used to make little ceramic hanging pots with macrame hangers for them & give them as gifts.

I must be losing it. I won the desert rose it was the epi that I lost on. I forgot I had even bid on it, lol. I think I have a problem.

ROTF F4F - toooooooo funny. I won a cutting of something and now can't even remember what it was - and can't find the thread.

Hope they get that thing shipped out very soon. We're heading back to the 30s tomorrow. Eeeeeeeeek!
