Just moving it may cause it stress so try to take a large root ball that is part of the planting hole and put it where it can continue to do its thing. If not able to re-plant in the ground, then pot them up and re-plant at the earliest time. They must be allowed to send their starches back down into the bulb so it can re-appear next spring. Do any digging in the early morning, on a cloudy day or when rain is forecast and water the plant immediately after re-planting. In a pot, water the bulb to drainage, dump the excess and water as you would any other potted plant.

Take a deep breath...now let it out slowly. It's going to be all right!! =) It could have just had a bit of transplant shock...but, yes, you are correct...you don't want it in soaking soil. You don't want it in sandy soil either (unless very large particle sand-like rocks). What you could do for now, is take the plant out of the soil it's in-removing as much soil as possible, without beating up the roots (or breaking them) too much. You can leave the plant out of soil for several days while you find something suitable. It won't die. Crassula ovata (Jade) can grow in regular soil in the ground, but if you're keeping it in a pot, something that drains well is best. It doesn't need Miracle-Gro either. Perhaps you can find some cactus soil (bagged) at your local big box store? (Or lots of other stuff added to the garden soil you already have.) You can add perlite, but it would be better if you could find other things to mix in (bigger particles, for water flow, like chicken grit). You do want some soil for retaining moisture that will also give nutrients to the plant. Everyone has their favorite mix. I'm sure others will help add to what I've said. Good luck!

Looks environmental. Indoors or out? pot or ground? prevailing temps? Any fertilizer as yet? If not, do it.

I would sacrifice a bit of symmetry for better function. If the plumbing can't be changed, I'd at least move it over to the right, and place the DW on the side nearer the DR, which I assume is off to the right. Then I'd put a dish hutch on the perimeter counter, to balance the ovens on the other end. With the DW and dish storage on that side, a helper can unload the DW or gather dishes to set the table, without interfering with prep and cooking. I moved the pantry door forward, to give you more space in the pantry, and to incorporate the door into the fridge wall. If you need elbow room on both sides when removing something from the wall ovens, you can open the pantry door. Cooktop and hood are centered between the ovens and dish hutch. The fridge is beside the pantry door, bringing it closer to the prep area, and providing a counter beside it for landing. The MW is on a shelf beside the fridge, with a cubby beside it, for cookbooks, cutting boards, or coffee cups, with space below for the coffee maker. Someone can re-heat left-overs, make a sandwich, pour a glass of juice, etc, without needing to turn to the island. The MW could instead be a drawer model, beside the fridge, but I wouldn't recommend an under-counter MW. Dog bowls could go in a low drawer, or toekick drawer under the dish hutch, or in the side of the island nearer the DR, to keep them out of the main prep/cooking areas. Trash pull-out is on the end of the island, convenient to the prep zone, cooking zone, and also the fridge/snack area. The single bowl sink is off center, but if you use one with a left back drain, you can put the faucet more toward the center of the island. Images--dog bowls in drawer
