You live and you learn right? They're just plants and they can be replaced. I just need to figure out a better way of heating my greenhouse cheaply or just keep my collection to a minimum until I can afford a proper greenhouse.

Yes, plants can be replaced, but I'd still feel bad about what happened. From the posts on this forum I get the feeling that keeping a greenhouse can be a tricky thing.

I'm finding that out that hard way unfortunately. However, like I said before, it is coming in to spring and it's starting to warm up already so they'll be able to go back outside in no time AND I'll be able to get more. I didn't use any of my birthday money specifically so I could!

~Erin~ Keep an eye on that weather. It is subject to change fast as it still is winter and we are in Florida which makes its own rules. LOL I lost plenty the second year I was here. And ever so often I still loose one or two. I am loving my hoop house this year. I have used the heat lamps so far 3 times. Monday morning 30 ambient and 46 in the house without lights. I'm sorry to hear about your friend and your plants, what a bummer.
When you get your situation more secure, I'd be glad to send you some replacements for some of your losses.

Crassula argentea 'Hobbit'
Crassula capitella 'Campfire'
Crassula ovata compacta
Kalanchoe 'Aurora Borealis' or K. fedtschenkoi variegata

Sedum nussbaumerianum or Sedum adolphii which is similar.

I can spare cuttings or pups of any of these so don't be afraid to ask.

It's amazing to me how kind you all are. I was telling my husband the other night that my friends on Garden Web are going to restock me and I started to cry. (I've been super emotional with this pregnancy). You all are really an amazing bunch of people! I'll be calling ilovetogrow (Paula) this evening. She's basically in the same USDA zone as me just a couple hundred miles to the east of me. Hopefully she can give me some good ideas and I'll be back in business before we know it! On another positive note, I received a box today from Stush and it had quiet a few cutting in it! BIG thanks to him! I only hope they will root for me!

If you're concerned about that, you might want to wait until March (at the earliest). The USPS doesn't heat all the rooms it stores boxes in when in transit.
