I downloaded it and gave it a shot. Easy to use. A little hard to get exact dimensions and I don't yet see an easy way to get slopes of the ground elevations into the model. Still, it does basic shapes well. And the surfaces can be filled with textures supplied or custom imports. It does do import and export of jpegs. Once the model is done you can spin it around to see any perspective you want and take a shot, as I did below of the little tutorial drawing I did. Seems I forgot to put texture on the backside. I didn't realize till I turned the thing around. The 3d will come in handy but I think I will still use PhotoImpact to add the text, symbols, plants, and generally finish the work. I also have a hard time trying to understand what they are changing. I think they deliberately make it hard to understand. It wouldn't surprise me if the supposed "changes" are merely a tool being used to periodically call attention to themselves in the hope that you will make greater use of Google. Google's privacy policy is, IMHO, not as important as you are. Your decision to use Google and the reasons you make that choice are what is really important. Google's business is to make money, and to that end they provide several free services and they are hoping you will explore all of them and like them enough to use Google. Based on how you use Google, you will see ads that are targeted at you. How often you actually click on the ads and/or buy the product being offered affects how much Google gets paid by the advertisers. If you are comfortable with this, like the convenience of being able to access your mail via a web browser or you just don't want to install and use an email client, then using webmail (whether Google or something else) probably suits you. If it does, fine. As for me, I already see enough advertising and prefer not to have it in my email. YMMV.

since it has not been released for sale yet and is only on pre order I was wondering how they had reviews LOL That doesn't seem to stop people. I've seen plenty of "user" reviews, especially of popular products, well before the release date. Usually they just mimic whatever "professional" reviews exist, although I love the ones that complain about the lack of a particular feature. "The Nexus 7 doesn't have a floppy drive! What was Google thinking?" If a floppy drive is important to you, why would you buy the product and then complain about the lack of a floppy drive? Kind of like buying a car without air conditioning and then complaining you have to roll down the windows in the summer. ;-) ...that the fire comes pre resisted from amazon with your account open... I didn't know that and it does seem a bit weird. I have to imagine that whatever the cost associated with stolen Kindles being less than whatever the cost Amazon assigns to having customers enter their own UID and password.

Something interesting I discussed with the Miami store was the possibility of mixing the CC colors. None of those pastels appeals to me, right out of the can. But, I thought about using the gray to knock the blue or green down a bit. He said it was doable. I still don't think I will paint my cabs though. They're such crummy quality, it hardly seems worth the effort. Maybe I should think about eventual re-sale. Or just do the bathroom vanity for fun and to get that leveling experience. Geez, I can't believe I paint for entertainment!
