Need experienced cranberry growers....have a few questions

I am going to try to grow cranberries in one of those plastic kiddie pools. I plan to use a separate pool for each variety I get. I'll drill holes in the side & plan to use corks to plug the holes when needed. I'm going to throw some rocks, etc. in the bottom for added drainage. Then add peat, potting soil, etc. How many plants should I get so as not to crowd them? I found a place online that sells cranberry vines (10 or 25 are the smallest amounts). If I got the 25 would that be overcrowding? How long can I expect to get fruit with vines? Would it be better to get plants instead of vines?
