I have a Citron in my backyard it is about 7ft tall.Ive had it for about 15months. It has 6 buddha's hands and is full of leaves. The fruits are different shapes. One looks like a closed hand and the rest look like squids. It also has new buds coming out and also new leaves.

When people grow Buddha's hand citrus, I always have to ask myself 'why'?

Sure, I guess it's a novelty but do you really like fruitcake or something?

Just an observation. I won't answer a question because none was asked.

I love the fragrance of it. Once the fruit fully developed, I leave mine on the tree until I notice it's yellow color starting to slightly brown, I pick it then squeak the skin to release it's fragrance and use it as room freshener. Works great for me.

I have a 5 yr old grafted Buddha's Hand Citron originally from Four Winds Nursery. It's a beautiful tree and blooms well but it won't hold fruit for me so it's going to have to go. It's not huge (3.5' and very full) but is probably too big to ship. I doubt that there's anyone near enough that wants to trade but figured I'd give it a shot. Looking for tropicals (not houseplants), Finger Lime, Yuzu citron, magnolias or other flowering shrubs/trees.

Australian Finger Lime (2 trees in containers outside). Fun, very hardy, grows like a weed, interesting conversation plant. Mine are poolside, as well. Just note that they are pretty thorny, so they probably should be set away from walkways or seating areas. Patty S.

Call or go online to "record buck farms". They are the citrus supplier for Home Depot and use to grow them and sell them at HD. If they have some, your local hd might be able to get one for you. They start really easy from cuttings. Gladly give you one if you ever get up this way!
