Yanking plants out

vera_eastern_wa

I just came back in from yanking alot of plants out of the garden! Had to do what I had to do, but doesn't feel any better ((sigh))

The Larkspur are pretty but soooooooo tall and bushy. I didn't take them all out of course but I did have to thin out and cut back alot. Now the Nicandra, Cosmic Orange Cosmo, dwarf Marigolds, Hysoppus, Thai pepper, Blue Sea Holly, 4 O'clocks, ect can get more light and a little more room to breath. I also had to cut out some of the stems from my African Daisy...didn't realize they grew so tall and wide! I even had to yank out a pretty nice Sunflower because it was completely hiding my Joe Pye Weed.

While I was out there I also noticed my MG 'Star of Yelta' have damn near filled the too small tripod, so I guided some of the vines and started training them up the Sunflowers.

I need a drink,

Vera
