They might, but likely not. Simply because millet is a favorite food source for both birds and mice.

In my garden millet is feasted upon by the birds, they all love it, epecially the small chickadees. Any seeds they knock out to the ground are eaten by mourning doves or the occasional field mouse.

You can save the seeds from the millet, it reproduces true.

That's what I've done in the past. Some things will reseed well for me like calendulas, larkspur and poppies, but I've seen so many birds feast on the millet that I couldn't count on it reseeding simply because the seeds seem to all get eaten ;-)

I was shocked at how easy this wonderful plant germinated from seed I saved last year. I've been able to make "groupings" of 3 in the center of planters and 5's in the beds because I have so many!WS gives you so many plants, I feel extravagant this year!

Definately save seed from your plants. I found the few I had in the beds last year served as food for the birds, but I was able to harvest seed from one I had in a planter on a deck that the birds are less likely to snack on. That one plant gave me about 25+ baby plants this year from it's seed! And those babies are now 2' tall in the planters and 4' tall in the beds already!
