I imagine some pruning of your jades weaker growth and cutting would be in order, as to where you'll find some ideas as to where or what to cut could be a little difficult to look up after all the other soil mixing and idea searching you'll be doing. mind if I use your pic ? Start with the red lines and cut away as best as you can if you happen to find some info on your relentless 1000's and 1000's of jade threads You may also want to attempt to root the cutting as as well which also has 1000's and 1000's of searchable info on how to do as well. Side note which has very very little to do with any of your 10000's of searching information results The pot is a bit to big.

If this helps, (and this pic is when we were still working on the kitchen, but it's the only one I have on the computer right now), this is our kitchen. The original cabinets were a light oak (I disliked them a lot!)I painted the cabinets and was worried about the grain showing through. I sanded and primed, and re-sanded and put two coats on, and can't see wood grain. In the pic though, the cabinets facing you still needed another coat of paint! We went with Fiesta Gold granite--but it looks exactly like New Venetian Gold. The fabricators change names sometimes from what I understand. As I was trying to explain above--I personally like white with darker floors. But you mentioned that you are planning to replace the floors. For what it's worth, painting wasn't bad. :) And we've got two kids and a dog running around! Again--bear in mind that this isn't a completed kitchen. No backsplash, pendant lights, bar stools, etc...but it will give you an idea maybe. Here's the granite if it helps at all:

flyleft, i have just the configuration you are describing re: recessed medicine cabinet (and bath storage cabinet) with full mirror door. My recommendation - put in the chrome handles. Not only to mesh with the other "handles" but because the chrome will better integrate with the mirrored doors and will just disappear against it. Our handles are the little cylinders-with-divots and they just disappear - a happy accident since I'd really okayed the chrome on these cabinets only to better integrate with the other shiny things in the bathroom! They do get mucky but only at the rate at which the mirror does so you'll be cleaning both at the same rate :-) Anecdotally, in the kitchen, our glass doors have an aluminum frame which is substantially lighter colored than is stainless steel. I'd picked stainless handles for the kitchen cabinets all the way around - so since the wood cabs had stainless, I naturally got stainless for these aluminum edged glass door cabinets too thinking that they'd integrate correctly. Mistake. Nobody will every see that the stainless pulls on the glass door corroborate the stainless pulls everywhere else - what even a blind man will see is that the glass door handle is so much darker and stark against the aluminum of the frame there. I should have picked aluminum or brushed chrome handles for the glass doors. Oh well. A correction for another time - I've put paid to the kitchen project. :-) So is this for the bathroom? I do hope you'll be supplying pictures of this project as it sounds amazing. What did you do about the teak counter?

This level of workmanship is not the norm, but neither is hiring folks without a contract. It'll work out in the end. Don't pay them until everything's fixed. Ok, well, it could be worse, right? The mosaic looks great. In non-wet areas like the desk, you could use wood trim. If it abuts your wall, I'd paint the trim your wall color. But the desk is the easy location. You might even be able to find pencil tile trim thin enough to use at Lowes or Home Depot. But if you're going to remove a row of tiles there anyway, just install a real Schluter edge and put them right back up. The tougher issue is the sink area - but the area is so small it should be a relatively easy fix. They must remove the outside tiles, smooth the substrate area down so that the tiles when replaced are plumb with the rest of the run, cut the tiles and lay them again with bullnose trim. If I make this sound easy, please know that every tile removed could possibly break, and the thinset mortar on the back of each tile has to be removed, probably with a multimaster (same oscillating tool they'll want to use to remove the tile from the substrate). It's always time consuming fixing a mistake.
