Newbies - this is one of the best things I have gotten from wintersowing, (growing from seed...). I am now able to recognize reseeds! This year, I've been getting up every morning and I look for reseeds. I've learned from this forum which plants reseed really well, which are hard to transplant, etc. etc.

I NEVER did any of the following, but instead have them all over my gardens:

Lots of: Malva Zebrinas, Amaranthus, Perilla, Black Eyed Susans, coreopsis, cleomes, melampodiums, (Sorry, I did sow a few melas), but found tons of reseeds, a few coneflowers, a beautiful bunch of ANNUAL candytufts (see my Name this Plant, please), annual vincas and probably more but just can't think of them.

It's way too cool finding reseeds and being able to recognize what they are, isn't it? I've gotten the experience because I've grown them from seed.

Carrie (still amazed after four years of sowing)
