Raven, What kind of mix are you using? When I get cuttings, I typically put them in a mix with equal parts coir and perlite, or 1/3 each coir, perlite and orchid bark. I keep them pretty moist until I'm sure they're rooted. Right now, I'm rooting a purpueo-fusca that's only node was where the only leaves were, with a stem below that that's about 8" long. I cut it back to about 5" and put it in a pot and I pulled it out today and see some roots forming at the very end of the stem. It's been 16 days since I put it in the medium (which did include the orchid bark this time...) The baggie method isn't very reliable for me. I seem to nearly always get mold before I get roots. Have you tried a "rooting pot", having several cuttings in one pot? Or rooting in with already established plants? You'll find something that works for you with time. Don't be too frustrated... You'll be an old pro at this in a few years! That's not to say it'll TAKE you a few years to figure it out - I just mean YOU will be the one giving advice before long! Denise in Omaha

Many people are going with this bar arrangement, but only if they plan to use the tub for showering, too. The wall union (where the hose connects to the wall) is mounted high enough on the wall (usually somewhere between 42"-60" above the floor) so that the hose won't dangle into the water, even when the showerhead is at its lowest position at the bottom of the bar. If however, you're not going to use the tub for showering and won't have a shower curtain or doors, you don't want to go this route. Choose a bath filler with a handheld sprayer that rests in a rack above the filler, has a pull-out feature, or fits in a wall-mounted bracket. There's no reason to put the bar in if you're not going to use the tub for stand-up showering. If the saleswoman insists you want to go this way, after you've explained that you won't be showering in your tub, find a different salesperson. The saleswoman is pushing what she wants to sell, not what you need.

Our GE Adora washing machine has been a constant source of trouble for several years now. It cannot be "balanced" no matter what we do and now the front of the cabinet has "rips" in the metal from shaking so violently. The door leaks, the front control panel shorts out and the exterior cabinet is rusting through in the front lower corners. This washer has many "known issues" and GE refuses to acknowledge them. Since we're out of warranty, I'm not going to try anything else to keep this hunk of junk running. We use only HE detergent and when we add bleach to the dispenser, it simply runs out immediately on the clothes... Clothes are now being torn but we can't find anything obviously damaged in the tub, so we don't know what's tearing the clothes. We leave the door open when the washer is empty so we don't get the moldy smell that so many others have experienced. This is by far the worst appliance we have ever purchased and we'll never buy a GE product again...

I have two pantries, neither is so big as you are looking at, but this what I have: I have one that is 24" wide by 24 deep and one is 21" x 24 deep, I have all roll outs in the lower two thirds and I love them, I think there are three in each. The upper part of the 24" pantry is divided for cookie sheets/racks, cutting boards, etc. The other has one full shelf and it is okay, I use it for storing my extra paper towels, napkins and baggie stuff, foil, etc. on the bottom, on the top I installed some wire pullouts and store stuff I don't use too often (inserts for pressure cooker, extra food chopper, etc..) Otherwise the top was useless to me except for the very front without a ladder or chair to stand on... :$ I have terrible balance, need I say more? I previously had two walk ins, narrow, but deep pantries with permanent shelves and they were almost useless except for the first 6-8 inches in, everything else became lost in there...
