strange White oak leaf color

My Quercus Alba ( 6 yrs in the ground ) has yellow leaves, with brown edges and dark green veins. All trees etc still are green here. Fall color should be red anyway, right? It grew 2 ft this summer, but had chlorotic leaves on lower limbs. Top half was nice dark green. The tree is about 8 ft tall. Soil ph is neutral or thereabouts. I have acid lovers who do good here. The soil is good ( no contractors garbage, etc )no limestone here etc. We haven't had our first killing frost yet, everything else is still green. I don't think it could be a major concern, but it's uncharacteristic of QA to turn yellow. Or maybe the lack of frost has made the yellows show instead of the regular reds. And I want to know if it isn't a sign of a pest or disease.
