Comments (8)Thanks for the compliments! The red is by Behr and it's called Cinnamon Cherry. We probably went through about a dozen sample jars to find this color. It looks a little too cherry on the sample card, but, up, it's the perfect warm study red. Funny thing, we're now going through the whole process again in search of a red for the kitchen island....! Comments (14)The counter looks beautiful to me. Would love a closeup too. I have maple cabinets with the darn yellowing. Had considered painting, but keep thinking the painted cabinet is going to be yesterday's decor. Unless originals are done so, then I would take on a green wood. Am trying very hard to live with them as is, they are in great shape. I painted my walls a brick red, other colors tended to bring out the yellow. There isn't a lot of wall, so the red is more of a decor addition and love how it turned out. Am a bright color person, so suggestion from this side are totally different from the norm. My next one would be a teal blue/green. If you paint the walls, I suggest a very small trim around the ceiling, the same color as the walls or ceiling. Something seems unfinished when I see wall to ceiling in different colors....See MoreWhat wall color did you paint your kitchen with white cabinets?

The London Fog matches the background tone of the quartz nicely and the white cabinets give it a fresh, clean, updated look. Not the best picture because our deck outside casts a pink tone to our wall, but you can see the quartz, wall color and white door in this pic to see how they work together. Here is a better picture of the wall color over by the ovens and up against the cabinetry. It looks darker here than it typically does in the light of day....See MoreWhat color palettes goes well with white oak floors and white walls?
Comments (23)Such a nice space! All that wood is going to boss around your decorating. You are smart to try to work with it instead of fight it with cool colors. I think orange is definitely out as an accent color. It is just going to enhance the orange tones of the wood. I would consider painting all the doors in the dining space, it will make the space look less chopped up. I saw on another thread that you are replacing the kitchen floor. Have you considered a slate look tile with faint brown accents? Your floor will have a nice clean look and the accents will work with the wood and will look good with your taupe cabinets. Daltile porcelain slate....See Morelavender_lass
