Gave up and brought them inside.... except...

I just couldn't take "waiting to see" if they made it thru the cold. My dining room and home office if full of seedlings now.

Lots of work but now I know they'll be safe from the cold. We'll see if they survive the kitties.

The only thing I left outside was an experiment. I planted Spacemaster cucs from a trade in a flower pot and they ALL came up. I transplanted 1/3 into plastic cups & 1/3 in the garden already...a month early....the other 1/3 is still in the pot. I took the extra milk jug lids and covered the seedlings in the garden. This afternoon I put hay over the top of the lids. If they make it thru the next few days of cold, I'll be very surprised. So far, they're very happy out there.

I don't expect to get any growth out of them at all during the colder temps. I was just out of cups, pots & jugs. It was an easy way to cover things that are already planted out!
