Hi Kippy: Please post pics. of them, I'll love to see how they look like. Marie Pavie is the beauty queen in my garden, 1.5' x 1.5' for her 1st year. I would put her where you'll see her often to enjoy her beauty and wafting musk scent. Marie Pavie blooms lots and can take partial shade. She puts a better show when it's less hot, like early spring and fall. I rarely water her here, only because I feel guilty of neglecting her.

Thinking if I put Secret Garden Musk on one side of the chainlink, the other side of the gate would look good with Mutabilis.

Put Marie Pavie where the scent can waft. I get nothing at all from this rose when I put my nose to the bloom. It is planted near the driveway. When it is in full bloom and I get out of my car, a wave of delicious sweetness flows over me. Heaven!

Too bad I don't have any experience with the rest of your roses, Kippy. If I type a rose's name in google, then click the IMAGES tab above google search, it will pop up all the pictures of that particular rose. Unfortunately people post close-up, rather than bush-shot.

When I google "Radio Times rose", and click on IMAGES tab, there are tons of pics. of Radio times flower, and only 2 bush-shots which I posted last year in Gardenweb. I wish more people would post bush-shot, rather than just the flower.

I agree Strawberry! And it really helps to put something in a bush picture that includes scale (like a person)

I have been reading what others in the general area have said about the size of their plants, most seem to be bigger than listed on hmf. I hate to put a plant in that I will have to fight with for space or peer over the railing and point it out. Everything I got is own root, so it can be in the main garden with the chickens or up by the house and protected. I would also like some nice views for the neighbors and a thorny reminder for midnight fruit pickers that the grocery store is a better spot for picking fruit. Plus I want a nice view from the house to the garden.

Lots of place to put the ones I picked out, and if they are not suited to the prospective location....well shoot means I need to order a few more right!

Reve D' Or can get big in warm parts of CA. Put it on a structure and let it go. I don't think of this rose as a bush at all. Marie Pavie is short and needs to be in front or else have enough space where she won't get crowded by a bigger rose. Also she needs to be watched so tall grasses or weeds don't out compete her in the beginning.

You just made me laugh so hard! I just did the same thing at Heirloom...I couldn't narrow my list either, so I ordered the list. Why not, we have more than enough land now thanks to my new Christmas present to myself...10 acres :) Oh the fun I will have filling it up!!!!

Renae is very flexible and not stiff, if that helps you plan. I love her scent. And her leaves are gorgeous! Oh, completely thornless, so that may help you pick a spot, too.

She can take hot sun but opens quicker there (here, anyway!). I love her buds as they first begin to open, so I put her in a cooler spot. I have her in a scorching spot, too, though, because she's still so pretty :D

I like her best close-up. I use her up close to people because of the lack of thorns, too, so it works out nicely.

I want her for an entry arch I am planning on too. But thought I would wait until I had the arch in and make sure that she will work or if I need more than 2. (she is on the list with Anne Laurie McDowell. I want to put those on the picket fence and Renae on the arch between. But til I have all the holes dug-I have to keep the design loose cause you never know what you might find in your way when digging in that yard)
