Lantana reseeds here. So I've already sown mine. Datura should wait just a bit. I'll sown mine in late March. Too much moisture will rot the seeds. Brugs need warmth, I've started mine indoors in a moist paper towel stuffed in a baggie. Castor beans are warm weather plants too. Wait til frost is gone. Cleome likes a little cold. I've sown mine now. Had good luck sowing them in March too. Parsley is another that I would wait on the frost to end. Bachelor buttons can go out now. Not sure about the others, but I've sown my godetia. First time with it.

Okay, I'm convinced, I am going to try winter sowing some impatiens this year, I may even sow some indoors on my window sill too, but I am going to try them and plan on sowing a lot in hopes that I will get good germination. Now I just need to find some seeds, I would like to try sowing the envoy impatiens, anyone ws this particular kind? It will save me a lot of money if they germinate and if they do, I plan on growing some in hanging bags on the fence in front of my house along with planting them around my flag pole. Last year was my first to try wintersowing. It sure worked for me and I'm in South Carolina. You talk about changing weather!! We often have days in "winter" that are close to 80. But then...lows in the teens are not unusual. I have lots of sprouts up in the containers I sowed around Christmas time. They have weathered cold nights as low as 12; today was around 75. They seem to be doing just fine. Last year I had more plants than I had comfortable room for (made new beds this year);) All I can say is it works and you don't have to have constant snow cover or even temps. Most of us don't. Try it. You'll be surprised. And it's not too late. I've still got about 75-100 containers of annuals to sow.

What can I say but 'wow'..I am so blessed! I really do feel better today...I called the other nite 'my pity party'..I truely do not want ya'll to feel 'sorry' for me...but dang I sounded like it when I read my posts...I was having a hard time the other nite..but a huge THANK YOU to everyone! My DH and DMNL went to a facility today that is 'hopeful' yet not cheap by no means..but actually got to talk to the neurologist on the spot and they have '1' opening due to a death..this is the strongest possiblity...
