Not sure this was due to WinterSowing but........

I had regular big flowered geraniums, not the hardy ones, survive the winter in the ground. Last year I WS'd close to 80 geranium seeds, had 100% germination and had them planted everywhere plus gave many away as gifts. I have 3 plants that are putting on new growth. These were planted close to the house so protected somewhat. I couldn't believe it when I was cleaning out that garden and saw the new growth. I never pulled these up because even in January they still green growth on them from the previous summer and fall and thought what the heck - lets see what happens. We had that 5 days of freeze last week so I figured that was the death knell but evidently they survived - WWWHHHOOOAAAAA. I am convinced it was a combination of WS'd seedlings and the right growing conditions :):)......
